  1. QUOTE (Brian @ May 7, 2017 -> 03:34 PM) I hadn't seen th cfirst since theatre but I liked this one better. Yondu and Drax stood out. Need to rewatch te first. You had high hopes for a Terminator movie without Cameron, Hamilton, & Furlong? My aunt would always let me watch T2 when she babysat me when I was little. I was 10 when T3 came out, halfway through the movie, me and my mom looked at each other and walked out. Had that same feeling watching Guardians on Wednesday morning, wasn't hung over either.
  2. The problem has never been talent l, it's been his ability to stay healthy
  3. QUOTE (Brian @ May 7, 2017 -> 03:34 PM) I hadn't seen th cfirst since theatre but I liked this one better. Yondu and Drax stood out. Need to rewatch te first. The Yondu/Ravenger stuff was amazing. I did enjoy that.
  4. Covey should be in AAA developing but because he was a Ruke 5 pick, he has to develop at the ML level. Seems like a victim of circumstance.
  5. I thought Guardians was pretty awful, which sucked because I was really excited for it. I didn't over hype the movie in my head or anything, I just hated it. I am going to try and see it again this week but I haven't been this disappointed since my mom took me to see Terminator 3.
  6. QUOTE (BaseballNick @ May 5, 2017 -> 08:10 AM) Baseball America update on Jordan Adell's season Adell is slashing .538/.640/1.436 with 21 HRs. There's video in the link of his recent three homer game. The pitching he's facing in this game doesn't appear to be any good at all so take it for what it's worth. Remember when people were down on him?
  7. Me and the lady drove 3hrs down to Normal, we saw the 4K restoration of Heat, it's the 20th anniversary. There was a pretty cool Q/A with Michael Mann beforehand. Never seen it on the big screen before tonight and it was great. The theater also had the volume way up, which made the experience that much better. We saw Alien downtown for Alien Day last week and got a sneak peak of the new one. I was really disappointed with Prometheus and thought the new one looked terrible from the trailers but 10-12 minutes we saw was fantastic, hopefully it's not the only good scenes of the movie.
  8. I was going to make this thread yesterday but I thought the Mets are a bad trade fit for the Sox.

QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 30, 2017 -> 12:35 PM) He's immature. He's starting a day game. If he partied last night, he's not ready for AA at his age. I'm not commenting on this any more than that. If you disagree, feel free. Here is a good example of someone making a big deal out of nothing
  10. http://variety.com/2017/film/news/david-fi...tor-1202399978/ David Fincher is directing the World War Z sequel
  11. Its official that Baseball Tonight is a weekly show?
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 25, 2017 -> 04:18 PM) Saw someone said scouts have Kendall with 30 hit tool I wasn't too high on him. I thought that he was getting some extra love because he plays for Vanderbilt but after reading that some scouts and teams have his hit tool at 30, I definitely do not want him anywhere near the Sox.
  13. I still don't understand how people are blindly in love with Seth Beer.
  14. QUOTE (turnin' two @ Apr 25, 2017 -> 03:42 PM) Seen him play a bunch? Not a lot outside of what's online but I do have common sense. And that says a 19 year old who already 205lbs, is probably not done filling out yet and he'll probably lose a step or two once his body finishes maturing. So while he might be able to play center field now, he's probably a right fielder in the bigs.
  15. QUOTE (hi8is @ Apr 25, 2017 -> 02:23 PM) 2020 C - Collins 1B - ? 2B - Moncada SS - Anderson 3B - ? LF - ? CF - Robert RF - ? DH - ? Starting 5 Possibilities: Rodon, Kopech, Lopez, Giolito, Fulmer, Hansen, Dunning, Stephens, Adams Trades coming, drafts coming, free agents coming, yay. Robert will be a corner guy in the bigs
  16. QUOTE (beautox @ Apr 25, 2017 -> 11:52 AM) I would love to see Holland or MiGo moved to a team like the dbacks for pick #68 and an interesting lotto ticket like Marcus Wilson. of the teams that have picks that might consider trading them i would say there are four maybe five, if the Rockies really pull ahead. pick 36 - Marlins - $1,888,800 pick 68 - Dbacks - $880,100 pick 70 - Rockies - $837,300 pick 74 - Orioles - $779,500 pick 75 - Astros - $767,400 Great idea. I am curious to see how they operate this draft
  17. These are great days we're living bros
  18. Unless a miracle happens in the next week, it looks like we will have another Writer's Strike. http://variety.com/2017/film/news/writers-...ion-1202393874/ Curious to see how this will affect some of the big films in development, especially the DC, Marvel and Star Wars film. My friend who works in Paramount said that a lot of scripts have been turned in 'half baked'
  19. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Apr 25, 2017 -> 09:38 AM) He isn't a baseball guy, so he doesn't have much to add in that regard. How many PBP guys are baseball guys? And Bennetti did a lot of work in the minors as a broadcaster and that is a tough job because the people in that role are essentially the team's PR person. I would say that he's pretty qualified.
  20. Did anyone notice Michael Stipe in attendance?
  21. I wake up everyday and thank God/Allah/Xenu for the Sox not signing Alex Gordon
  22. QUOTE (turnin' two @ Apr 23, 2017 -> 04:52 PM) Plus, no one would care. At all. Except the guy who called it, I would imagine.
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 20, 2017 -> 08:25 PM) As a few on here predicted, Franklin Perez is blowing up for Astros. Tucker off to huge start also I don't want to be the guy that reminds everyone that he called for the Sox to demand Perez in any trade involving Q with the Astros as far back as the Winter Meetings. I'd hate to be that guy.
  24. I hope no one here was stupid enough to think that every prospect (especially the ones acquired in the past year) was going to breeze through the system without any experiencing any hiccups.
