I wish the Sox would trade the pick for a haul. They trade 1-1 to the Giants for 1-4, a 5th and the Giants 1st round pick next year.

Will Venable is the real deal
There seems to be good synergy going on between the dugout and the front office. Venable drives me nuts with the bunting, like please stop doing that, but he’s on his way to becoming a really good manager. How many times before have we seen players get called up to the show, only to look unprepared and like they didn’t belong? Guys come up now and they look like they belong, which is crucial. I’d also say that this coaching staff is maximizing the talent on the roster. Look at Tristian Peters and Tyler Davis.

Twins at Sox 5/28: Thursday Matinee 1:10 CDT
If he’s not leading off, SamAnt should bat 9th and be the second lead off hitter. Acuna and Hill should never bat higher than 7th and 8th, otherwise I have no issue with the lineup.

I’d like to see the Sox come out with a prep bat with their second pick but with the success of the team, I wonder if they’ll go after a college arm in rounds 2 or 3 to get someone they could potentially accelerate to the bigs.

White Sox signing Randal Grichuk to major league deal
Big win for the pro scouting staff. And kudos to the staff for knowing how to use him.

I think they can do a lot better- 2026 MLB Draft Thread...White Sox Control Draft/V.Lackey closing fast
Something tells me that they're not related, I just can't put my finger on it.- 2026 MILB Catch-All
You know I'm not talking about star power.- 2026 MILB Catch-All
I'm not penciling him into anything but he is a valuable asset and like all first round picks, you hope he's a part of the team's future but my point stands, if the glove is as good as its being reported as, no one else should be at SS other than him. But Carlson projects to be and that's why he should be the SS if and when the time comes. Let's not do a stupid repeat of Jeter and A-Rod.- 2026 MILB Catch-All
That's ridiculous. Was Alex Bregman not valuable because he played 3B? Like Callis said, Carlson is a 80 grade defender at SS. It would be detrimental to the team not to play him, an 80 grade defender, at SS.- 2026 MLB Draft Thread...White Sox Control Draft/V.Lackey closing fast
I need the Sox to draft this absolute freak in round 2 please. He's everything their system needs. He's an outfielder, he's an up the middle guy, he has power potential, he's a freak athlete. Need them to float him down to 41- MLB.com Top 30
There is only 4 outfielders on the list, that's a huge area that needs to be infused with talent system wide. There is only 4 INTL players that were signed by the Sox something that is being addressed and we should see the benefits from David Keller starting next year. But... This is the best the farm has looked in some time. Yeah it is missing the "star power" of the 2016 rebuild but this system has actual depth and there appears to be waves of talent not just a group of guys. Which is encouraging since Getz/Shirley/Janish are two years into rebuilding the farm.- 2026 Spring Training Thread
I don't get why people are so quick to want to trade Sosa. Even with Murakami and to a lesser extent Austin Hays, this team needs all the power it can get. Sosa even with his flaws hit 22 homers last year, he has value.- 2026 Spring Training Thread
Trying not to be hyperbolic but Fuller might be the most important hire the Sox have made in some time. Hope he stays for a long time, and hope the Sox let him add more people under him.- 2026 Spring Training Thread
When you have your own network, every spring training game should be broadcast.- Keith Law Top 100
I get it this time instead of when Hahn did it in 23 and took Jacob Gonzalez. The 2024 Draft was Getz first draft, makes sense (somewhat) that a new GM would make the pick, especially when it was such a high pick. I do wish he listened to the scouts though. I would the farm system looks good considering that we're 2 year into a farm rebuild. Kevin Goldstein when he was at Baseball Prospectus said that it takes 3 to 4 years to rebuild a farm system. I agree that the one thing hold the farm back to having some serious depth, and some more upside is the lack of a good international operation that routinely turns out interesting prospects. Getz hired his INTL staff back in 2024, and their first class won't be until next year. One of the things that make the Dodgers and Brewers systems so good, is that routinely sign premium athletes in the international market and are able to develop them.- Sox sign Fedde (2026)
I like this move. Fedde is an arm that this FO (Bannister) has already had success with, they can probably get him back on track. They only need Fedde to last till the ASB or till when the younger arms are ready to get some starts in Chicago.- LUIS ROBERT TRADED
This trade leaves Andrew Benintendi as the last man standing for the Hahn/KW era. I wish the team ate some money to get a better prospect return. Luis Robert should be a lesson to GMs everywhere, when you start a rebuild it’s better to trade your premiere asset (2023 Luis Robert) coming off an hot season than not.- 2026 Old Sock Drawer

I do not want Matt Shaw on this team. I don’t think he could stomach being on the south side anyway… for reasons. Plus, he puts himself before the team. - 2026 MLB Draft Thread...White Sox Control Draft/V.Lackey closing fast
