  1. Any questions about his future as a starter have been put to rest. He and Martin are the only starters that you can pencil into the rotation for next season
  2. Reading too much into it in regards to Ishiba. These deals are always made 3-4 years in advance.
  3. The 29 other teams have been operating this way, the Sox finally started to get on their level. The only thing that could kill this deal if the way his body develops, something to monitor.
  4. A lot of these INTL deals are made when the kids are 12/13 years old.
  5. Getz and his front office are making it a point to acquire guys with front approaches and high OBP potential. That’s one of the key differences between Getz and KW/Hahn, this group seems to understand the importance of getting on base consistently. They drafted a ton of guys with OBP skills and good approaches per all the publications, Caleb Bonemer, Billy Carlson, Jaden Fauske, Landon Hodge, Sam Antonnocci, Nick McClain, etc. They’re loading the org with those type of guys.
  6. It looks like a good trade form both sides. Get'z trades look a lot better ever since he got more of his guys/outside hires into the org. Fuller, Bannister, all the analyst they've hired, Watson, Barfield.
  7. Mike Denbrock cost ND that game last night, his play calling was fireable. It's the second game in a row that he's cost ND. A lot of people, myself included, have Jerimayah Love as the best player in the country, he had 4 carries at the half and 10 on the game, to go with 4 receptions. That's criminal. During the first 40mins of the game, their offense relied solely on bubble screens. They didn't establish the run or the vertical passing game till the last five minutes of the third quarter. I thought their defense played great, they certainly played good enough to win. CJ Carr is a dude, didn't look scared out there at all. They may finally have found the heir to Brady Quinn and Jimmy Clausen. ND probably still a top 10 team in the rankings, I don't see them losing back to back games but Mike Denbrock's seat has to be hot, that job should be highly coveted.
  8. Maybe shut him down in a couple weeks? Hopefully he goes 150 next season. Great pick up for the Sox, Smith established himself as part of the core going forward.
  9. Detroit, KC, and Minnesota to a lesser degree have all undergone significant rebuilds.
  10. They have to bring him back. They fixed him once, they can do it again. A good opportunity to nab, a cheap veteran arm who pitched well for you.
  11. Now, find a way to get rid of Benintendi
  12. Shane Smith is really exciting. I’m glad he’s tweaked the arsenal and he’s pitching this deep into the season. Good move on the Sox by giving him a couple weeks off to save his arm
  13. My OP was talking specifically about position players, sorry for not making that clear
  14. Still, they have Jesus Made, Pena, Payne, Pratt, Henderson. You can make the argument that they’re the most loaded organization in the league
  15. I don’t think that’s scary, especially when the team should have a very high draft pick next year, based on odds. I think there’s guys in the draft next year, who could be that guy for them. Roch Cholowsky, Justin LeBron, Grady Emerson, and Jacob Lombard specifically. I think Cholowsky is the best of the group and he could be like Bregman and be up in 2027 out the gate. I should add that I was specifically talking about position players with my comment The Brewers have Jackson Chourio, Christian Yelich and Jackson Misiorowski. They’re loaded with stars
  16. With all the players who have graduated from the prospect list (and those who are about to), this is about where I expected them to be ranked. I would say that the farm system looks to be the healthiest it’s been in a while, I think they had a good draft, and with a high pick next year, they could be back in that top 10-12 range this time next year. What is troubling though is the lack of international prospects that the Sox signed on that list. Looking at the MLB pipeline list, I count 3 INTL players that the Sox originally signed. While the farm is the healthiest it’s been in a while, it could still be a lot better. The sad thing is that it’s going to be a couple more years till we see the results of their international dept overhaul.
  17. Not surprising. Im of the opinion that the next franchise player/star player for the Sox isn’t in the system yet.
  18. Didn’t Colson fall out of theirs as well? And look at him now
  19. The first time I went to Europe, I was waiting for a friend to meet me at CDG in Paris. As I was waiting a plane from Italy let out its passengers and an Italian family came off the plane and they were all wearing White Sox gear. I spoke to them, and the kids played baseball and liked Tim Anderson and Moncada, so they were wearing the jerseys. And there’s a Bulls/Sox store in Paris as well. All that to say that the current Sox branding is iconic and global, it’s an advantage the team has over the Cubs. So no, don’t change the uniforms or the logo
  20. I like the aggression with their top prospects, it’s an aggression that makes sense, they’re not rushing guys but pushing them.
  21. I’m shocked that people are actually monitoring the win/loss record for a rebuilding team, it’s irrelevant. The Sox winning their way out of the top 3 of the draft would be catastrophic.
  22. I want them to sign 2 legit high leverage relievers, one them being a proven closer like a Devin Williams, Jordan Romano, or a Ryan Helsey. Id also like to see them add more power so Ryan O’Hearn with his Fuller connection would be a fit, Hopskins and Naylor would be too.
  23. I’m shocked that Korey Lee, Mike Tauchman, and some of the relievers are still on the roster. The most important thing for the Sox is getting the best odds at the top pick, they’re not competing this year or next (even if they add). I also wish they targeted more complex level/low minors type players to add to the next wave of prospects
  24. I’m shocked they haven’t made a move yet
