  1. I’m shocked that Korey Lee, Mike Tauchman, and some of the relievers are still on the roster. The most important thing for the Sox is getting the best odds at the top pick, they’re not competing this year or next (even if they add). I also wish they targeted more complex level/low minors type players to add to the next wave of prospects
  2. I’m shocked they haven’t made a move yet
  3. What was the catch probability on that? It looked pretty catchable but he made a bad read.
  4. It’s always the lower priced guys that do the best
  5. Updated Post Draft List Noah Scultz Braden Montgomery Hagen Smith Billy Carlson Caleb Bonemer Tanner McDougal Jaden Fauske Christian Oppor Jeral Perez George Wolkow Luis Reyes Jacob Gonzalez Sam Antonacci Kyle Lodise William Bergola Mathias Lacombe Blake Larson Landon Hodge Gabe Davis Yobal Rodriguez I took a rough go at it.
  6. I love the approach. Keep injecting the system with as many up the middle bats, who can control the zone, as possible.
  7. Smart, very smart of the Sox to immediately move Fauske off C and to the OF
  8. Watch LaViolette become a star in Cleveland
  9. I have to see this Ike Irish video
  10. We’ve gotten so much smarter since then. Not to mention guys weren’t max effort and not everyone was throwing 95
  11. I want to see Vargas with a full off season with these changes under his belt. I’m not too worried about him right now, the league figuring him out was due to happen, now he has to learn how to adjust back.
  12. They should throw Shane Smith on the IL for dead arm after the ASB. He’s never pitched this much, and certainly not this far into a season. He needs to give his body a break. Then they should do the Crochet thing where he goes 4IP at a time
  13. They hired a hitting director
  14. This list will look a lot better after the draft and TDL but we should be thinking like this imo, what will this look like at the 2026 TDL, that’s exciting.
  15. I’ll say this, l think they make that pick now because they have Ryan Fuller in the org. I totally get wanting to kick things off with a for sure big leaguer, which Smith is, plus he’s a demographic they’ve had a lot of success with.
  16. I can understand a GM making the first pick of his regime, I don’t like it but I get it.
  17. Who did the Sox sign yesterday?
  18. For my list, I did not include players who made it to the majors. Noah Scultz Braden Montgomery Hagen Smith Caleb Bonemer Colson Montgomery George Wolkow Jacob Gonzalez Jeral Perez Tanner McDougal Christian Oppor Luis Reyes Sam Antonacci William Bergola Mathias Lacombe Adrin Batista Yobal Rodriguez Alexander Albertus Blake Larson Mason Adams Juan Carell I think the Sox have a top 12 farm system. So many guys made it to the majors this year already, I think they will add more talent in the draft and at the TDL. Looking at this list, they need to add some power into the system. They also need to ad some more talent in the middle of the diamond
  19. Something that gets left out when discussing Colson is the fact that he was drafted as a 19 year old HS grad. His development/minor league career is a perfect example of that demographic’s risk. A 19 year old can’t have too many setbacks because suddenly they’ll be 23, 24, 25 and still not on stable ground as a prospect
  20. Meidroth being an above average shortstop makes him so much more valuable. If Boston knew that about him, I wonder if they include him in the trade for Crochet. If Colson comes up, I’ll let him start at SS but would play him at 3B, just to give him another position under his belt but the infield will probably look like 1B - Sosa 2B - Meidroth SS - Colson 3B - Vargas Its probably its strongest with 1B -Vargas 2B - Sosa SS - Meidroth 3B - Colson
  21. I hope he hits the gym like Vargas did this offseason
  22. The White Sox short stop of the future
  23. Some people choose to be miserable. It applied to my ex girlfriend, it applies to Soxtalk. I don’t get it. People on here have been clamoring for the Sox to tear it down, and they are. People on here have been clamoring for them to build out their own analytic staff, and they are. People have been clamoring for them to hire people from outside the org, and they are. And you’re still unhappy. I don’t understand it.
  24. Keith Law’s report on Gray: “Gray’s season is just getting underway in Iowa, so he has more opportunity to improve his stock than anyone else on this list. He’s a switch hitter who makes a ton of hard contact and shows plus power now, and he runs well for a catcher — which is good because he’s probably not a catcher. The bat looks like it will profile in right field, and he might end up in the top two rounds with a strong spring/summer.”
  25. Keith Law really likes him but he said that he would immediately move him off of C because he wouldn’t want to waste the special bat. Law said he’s a good athlete too IIRC
