  1. QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Mar 30, 2016 -> 12:39 PM) BAseball America's first mock: http://www.baseballamerica.com/draft/16554...he1a5lIXDU32.97 It's really fun to see the White Sox twice on that list. I cannot wait for the draft!
  2. Will probably still beat the Reds major league team
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 29, 2016 -> 03:13 PM) Hasn't he been pretty awful since the incident? Since March 16th, he is 2-24
  4. My lineup would look like: Eaton RF Rollins SS Abreu 1B Frazier 3B Melky LF/DH Garcia LF/DH Lawrie 2B Avila C Jackson CF BE: Saladino, Navarro, Shuck, Ishikawa Sale SP Quintana SP Rodon SP Latos SP Danks SP Robertson CL Jones SU Duke SU Petricka RP Albers RP Jennings RP Carroll RP
  5. Really not sure why Sands or Turner should make it over Ishikawa
  6. Im good with that lineup, though I think you swap Avila and Jackson for 2 reasons: 1.) Break up the group of righties 2.) Get more speed in front of Abreu and Frazier when the roster turns over
  7. AL East: Toronto AL Central: White Sox AL West: Astros AL WC: Rangers, Tigers NL East: Mets NL Central: Cubs NL West: Giants NL WC: Nats, Cards WC: Rangers over Tigers Nats over Cards DS: Astros over Rangers White Sox over Toronto Cubs over Nats Mets over Giants CS: Astros over White Sox Mets over Cubs WS: Astros over Mets AL ROY: Jose Berrios NL ROY: Cory Seager AL CY: Chris Sale NL CY: Clayton Kershaw AL MVP: Carlos Correa NL MVP: Buster Posey
  8. Anybody nearly as impressed as I am with Saladino? His stroke is looking great
  9. Not a popular opinion, but I wouldn't mind Davidson getting a crack at the DH position sometime this year
  10. I think I would be comfortable with either Rollins or Saladino at this point honestly. Saladino has impressed me so far this spring.
  11. QUOTE (Knackattack @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 02:20 PM) Rodon's stuff isn't that much better than Fulmer's IMO. Seems Carson sits at a higher velocity with the fastball and that curveball is nasty People knock him for his size, but his stuff is pretty big. He's been one of the nastier college pitchers I can remember.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 24, 2016 -> 08:13 AM) Presented without comment: E3 Meat Company ‏@E3Meat Mar 22 Take 10% off your order with code FamilyFirst10. Shop http://e3meatco.com #familyfirst LOL!!!!! God, f*** this guy.
  13. I might be alone, but I think Saladino is looking better this spring
  14. QUOTE (hi8is @ Mar 19, 2016 -> 10:04 PM) Maybe LaRoche retiring gives Garcia the DH, where his defensive value is a moot point. Solid chance his offensive value is a moot point there too
  15. QUOTE (heirdog @ Mar 18, 2016 -> 03:19 PM) Borrowing from Occam's Razor where the simplest explanation is likely the most plausible, here is what probably happened: Rick Hahn, the smartest man in the room, decided he would kill 2 birds with one stone. He set up Kenny to fall on the sword by playing on his emotions about players thinking he is weak. He also wanted LaRoche out of here and knew the only thing to send him packing would be the son angle. So Rick decided to go to Kenny and float "no player will say it but they don't like having Drake around" and "they wish you, Kenny, would step in but he don't think you have the guts to". Knowing Kenny would create a maelstrom and personalize the issue to himself...which now he can't revert back from, Rick will soon have full GM power and $13 million to spend on a championship roster. Ha! I was totally thinking about how this situation could actually be the best thing for the Sox while I was doing some work. LaRoche retires and they save $13 million, KW gets fired for incompetence, and Hahn assumes full power. That would satiate all my thirsts.
  16. Oh so now JR wants to keep this internal #JustSellTheTeamAlready
  17. I find it ironic that these guys are so stoutly defending LaRoche despite the underlying fact that he walked out on the team.
  18. QUOTE (iamshack @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 10:36 PM) Yeah, I get it...but that isn't what is being alleged here. What is being said is that there is a message being sent to a teenager when he is allowed to be in a locker room that child rape is ok. That is the most ridiculous nonsense I have heard in a while. You obviously are missing the point. Have a good night.
  19. QUOTE (iamshack @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 10:33 PM) Ok...and you are saying I am the one that is strange? Not at all, but I'd think with all the Sandusky/Jared/etc. stories out there, you'd realize this is an inappropriate message to send to a child
  20. QUOTE (iamshack @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 10:05 PM) Oh, please do explain it to me then. Please explain to me what "message" is being sent when a teenager sees other adults of the same gender in a state of semi-undress as result of them bathing or dressing. Because honestly, I have absolutely no clue what you are referring to. I'm seriously astounded you don't see what's inappropriate about this. It's not like this just started, this kid has been around naked, grown ass men his entire childhood and for a young child, that may send mixed signals/messages that makes them think that that is in some way ok. It's not. This is how things such as child rape occur. Not saying that is something that would ever happen in a clubhouse, but that is a really bad precedent to set.
  21. QUOTE (iamshack @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 09:31 PM) Are you guys serious? As a 14 year old? I remember going to the Union League Club as a 10-12 year old and having a bunch of old farts actually swimming naked in the pool. That was weird. But honestly, what "message" are you talking about? I don't really care how you were raised. If you don't understand what's wrong with that situation, you need to open your eyes to the world around you.
  22. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 08:15 PM) I don't think an environment that includes naked men is a place most dads want to subject their 8 year old daughter. I don't think it's a good precedent to set for your child regardless of gender. A parent should never give the message that "this is ok" to be in a room with naked adults to their children.
  23. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 17, 2016 -> 02:44 PM) I think this will blow over eventually, but if it doesn't and the White Sox tank in 2016, my prediction is RH...gone. RV...gone. KW takes back the GM seat. Dude. You are all over the place.
  24. If you needed any more support that DickAllen is a sad troll that's just here to argue with people, look no further than this thread. You support KW all the time and suddenly feel intensely against him when everyone finally agrees with him.
