  1. This team needs a jugs machine to just pump 95 mph fastballs inside to them for a couple hours. I've never seen a team that's worse at trying to hit fastballs.
  2. If the Sox seriously want to contend, they either need to stop starting Danks or find another bat and quick
  3. I will say this, Ramirez's two seamer is absolutely filthy against RHH

  5. QUOTE (harkness @ Apr 16, 2016 -> 05:32 PM) Is Lawrie a good defensive 2nd basemen? I'm confused really... he is a career 260 hitter with not a lot of power... Lawrie is one of the few guys pulling their weight at the plate right now. His D has been more than fine.
  6. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 16, 2016 -> 01:18 PM) http://www.milb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=2...sp&sid=t487 Michael Ynoa also headed to Charlotte I see him coming back up pretty soon. Bet the Sox trade a reliever for a platoon hitter to rotate at DH.
  7. I know it's still pretty early, but I think it should be noted that Eaton is currently leading all of MLB with 5 DRS. The move from CF is obviously having a massive positive effect on his defense, and I'm happy Hahn was smart enough to bring in Jackson who, while he needs to start hitting more, has really alleviated the pressure on Eaton on Cabrera to make plays.
  8. A plastic flask and a bag of your own peanuts really alleviates a good portion of the ballpark costs.
  9. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Apr 15, 2016 -> 12:31 PM) Do the Cubs have the easiest schedule to start the year? D-Backs, Reds, Rockies, Cardinals, Reds, Brewers, Braves to start the year. That is down right laughable THE REDS ARE A REALLY GOOD TEAM! THEY WERE IN FIRST PLACE GOING INTO THE SERIES!
  10. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Apr 15, 2016 -> 10:03 AM) I want the cubs to go all the way, and lose... To the White Sox. It would be total chaos! And people worry about the murder rate now, this would throw our city into a war zone. Cubs fans could never handle the Sox beating them in the World Series. It would trivialize their entire existence.
  11. QUOTE (wuk @ Apr 15, 2016 -> 11:36 AM) screw that...let's sweep 'em and come home to some big f'ing crowds!!! I really hope there are some good crowds at the stadium when they get back next week. Fans need to show up and let the team feed off their excitement. Thinking I'm going to try for atleast 2 games in the next homestand, maybe 3.
  12. QUOTE (God Loves The Infantry @ Apr 15, 2016 -> 09:02 AM) I'm pissed at Laroche. I have a young son. I wish I could bring him to work with me. But I can't. And I certainly couldn't bring him in and let him become the center of attention like Drake was. And if my job performance sucked last year, I know that any generosity my employers might have had towards me would have ended real quick. So I get it, and I am certainly on the White Sox' side. That said, can ya'll chill with the Bangkok conspiracy talk? It's moronic and juvenile, to be honest. I doubt these missions actually help sex slaves and I'm personally uncomfortable with being around pimped out preteens in bikinis, but I am 100% confident that Laroche and Boyer were not there to diddle Thai "ladyboys". Some of the comments just make it seem less like you're pissed at what he did (sucking at baseball, demanding special treatment and abandoning his teammates- which is fair IMO) and more pissed at who he is (which is douchey). Please regale us with your guys Thai whorehouse crusade. We'd love to hear the real story. Why did a couple nobodies from America feel empowered to go put these children in even greater risk? Surely they understood there are more intelligent diplomatic ways to help address this problem, right?
  13. Biggest series theyve had all year. Time to make a statement and go down there and pound them.
  14. Some notable pitchers starting tonight. Looks like Kanny is already underway. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20160414
  15. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 03:30 PM) The Rays offense is only slightly better than the Twins right now. I'm expecting Sale to DOMINATE tomorrow. I know this is going to sound stupid, but I think Sale knows he hasn't been his best so far and gets real nasty tomorrow. It's motivation for him to see guys like Latos dominate and realize he needs to pick up the slack a little. This team is very fun right now, hope it never ends.
  16. Not watching game, did it look like he was trying to hit Abreu there? A lot of really inside pitches
  17. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 12:32 PM) Is Latos throwing any harder this start? Just clocked at 93 on that cutter
  18. Not going to get too far ahead of myself, but Eaton is playing really solid defense already this season. Already has 3 DRS.

    4/13 Games

Adam Engel hype is real fam. 5:6 BB:K ratio. That type of OBP with elite defense is super sexy.
  20. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 09:40 AM) CF Eaton LF Cabrera 1B Abreu 3B Frazier 2B Lawrie C Navarro DH Garcia RF Shuck SS Saladino #'s against Santana: Eaton 1-4 Cabrera 6-25 Abreu 1-3 Frazier 1-4 Lawrie 2-14 Navarro 3-9 Garcia 2-5 Shuck 0-3 Saladino 0-0

    A nice Article

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 14, 2016 -> 08:09 AM) As I have been saying for a while, just get this rotation into the playoffs, and there's no doubt in my mind they can win the whole thing. Just figure out a way to make the dance and let the arms take over. The appeal of a 7 game series where you can start Sale-Q-Rodon-Sale-Q-Rodon-Sale and then allow Fulmer to setup with Jones and Albers has me fully triggered
  22. This ESPN article brings the hilarity on multiple levels. I love this though: LaRoche wasn't interested in knowing Drake's grades at all, just how he treated classmates and teachers. He then goes on to say "I tell everybody we weren't smart enough for anything else," Adam says. "For the LaRoches, it was baseball or nothin'." Too f***ing funny. Good f***ing riddance.
