  1. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 3, 2016 -> 11:37 PM) Okay, so what are you willing to give up for Rasmus? If it's going to cost Adams + _________ (someone else between 6-15 in the system), do you still do it? There are a lot of names out there still, but most of those longer-term contracts will involve even more complicated contractual considerations or possibly another three-way trade. They'll give you Carlos Gomez for free right now, do you take that chance? Don't answer, Hawk. What about Marisnick, Tucker or Singleton? Rasmus wouldn't cost Adams +, so I'm not going to deal in hypotheticals
  2. I'll throw one out there: Colby Rasmus. Left handed, a free agent after this season, and currently has an .899 OPS.
  3. Hey the scoreboard is fixed
  4. Updated ZiPS has the Sox finishing with the best record in AL and best odds of WS appearance. 78.2% chance of being in the playoffs.
  5. Can he help us win more? I'll take him.
  6. If the Sox hate Erik Johnson so much, why dont they trade him?

  8. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ May 3, 2016 -> 09:51 AM) Red Sox scare me more than any other team in the AL, and I still hate Wright for helping ruin our trip back to .500 last July. Big game today! Blue Jays and Texas both scare me a little still. Texas can atleast kinda keep up pitching wise and they got a lot of tough outs in that lineup. Toronto jut pounds and scares the living s*** out of me. Red Sox pitching has been real garbage this season, but they can definitely hit.
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 3, 2016 -> 08:25 AM) And we have the BEST RECORD in the AL. Best team? After just 26 games? I think we might just want to dial it back down a notch... They are quite literally the definition of the best team in the AL as it currently stands.
  10. In his last 10 games, he's hitting to the tune of .318. He's fine.
  11. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 3, 2016 -> 07:42 AM) One thing for sure, the prices would be a lot more affordable in southern Texas in terms of the average ticket package, parking, concession items...and the BBQ and Mexican options would be great. That said, as a native Midwesterner, it would still suck, but as long as they kept the Sox name/logo and were able to increase their spending by 25-50% over what they're managing in Chicago now, it wouldn't be a deal-breaker as a fan. They would have the advantage of a bigger fanbase, as well as drawing interest from a marketing standpoint in many areas of northern Mexico even the Caribbean. That said, for most Chicagoans...at least 50% would probably disagree if they could no longer conveniently attend games. And tickets aren't nearly as expensive as they used to be from 2006-2012, they've come down significantly, except for parking/concessions/souvenirs, which are still pretty pricey. US Cellular is extremely close to one of the best concentrations of Mexican options in the United States. They dont need to move to Texas for that.
  12. Let's get out there and show our boys some support tonight. Let's Go Sox!
  13. Maybe I'm crazy, but I think this month is a lot easier than April. Only series that have me concerned right now are Boson and @TEX. That stretch where we get MN, NYY, and HOU is time to get fat.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 2, 2016 -> 09:04 AM) For a team with a front office who get to work in a clown car, a manager who shouldn't manage a lemonade stand, and a roster full of has beens and never weres, they are doing pretty well, although if you read gamethreads, should be doing better. ::yawn::
  16. We've overtaken the Indians to win the central now in Fangraph odds
  17. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 1, 2016 -> 08:04 PM) Love Sale, but he's not even the best pitcher in Chicago currently. This Albers run has been pretty prolific

  21. QUOTE (Real @ May 1, 2016 -> 02:20 PM) if this is the ALDS/ALCS I'm gonna lose my damn mind. O's are legit Sox are kinda pounding them today
  22. Why isn't he challenging that?
  23. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ May 1, 2016 -> 01:56 PM) Are they taking him out? How bad does it look? Staying in but looks like it's definitely bothering him
  24. Beautiful turn by Frazier. Dude is such a beast.
