  1. Sox 4 game sweep. Go back to 6+ ahead, Jose hits 2 HRs today. We never look back.
  2. Marlins, DBacks, Rockies, and Brewers have shown interest after workout.
  3. So is Avi hurt or in the doghouse here? That's 3 games in a row now that he hasn't been used
  4. QUOTE (flavum @ May 23, 2016 -> 11:35 AM) I don't know about anyone else, but I almost have no interest in watching this doubleheader. The thought of watching Latos and Johnson pitch and lose would be up there with getting a root canal. Plus Clevinger's stupid hair. Hope they at least get a split, and Sale wins tomorrow. This series is the biggest of the season so far for the Sox. If that doesnt interest you, that's on you.
  5. QUOTE (ewokpelts @ May 23, 2016 -> 05:13 AM) jerry already controls 40% of the channel and they are virtually debt free and are able to absorb the danks contract. I don't see why there is this obsessive need to think the sox are doomed financially. The attendance is trending upward and tv ratings are up. This franchise could be doing better, but they are nowhere near the level that dollar bill buried the Hawks. Caulfield gonna caulfield
  6. QUOTE (SpankyEaton @ May 22, 2016 -> 09:10 PM) What reasoning do you think Cub fans have about coming to the Cell to see a game? I swear, whenever I go to the ballpark I see a Cub fan. I think it's that they enjoy baseball and that the Cubs are out of town, but I don't understand why they go to the Sox games. I think, I'd never wear my Sox stuff to Wrigley unless it's the Sox playing the Cubs. 34,000 people is pretty sweet, I hope attendance can stay up and they climb to at least 23rd in the standings. Apparently Ventura was disappointed in the attendance at Sale's last outing. Dude. Every f***ing game I've been to this year. Either they are retarded or this is some really odd complex. I'd never be caught dead at Wrigley if the Sox weren't there and I sure as hell wouldn't wear all Sox gear if I did. I've seen so many Cubs fans at the Cell this year.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ May 22, 2016 -> 10:25 AM) Is Avi in the doghouse? Mercy that lineup sucks. Seriously. 2 games off in a row? It's depressing that Rollins, that can't turn on a fastball to save his life, seemed the better choice. And why isn't Saladino playing? He's actually hitting well.
  8. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ May 21, 2016 -> 11:05 AM) Feels so good being back after a 15 day suspension. The team tanked during that time period and not having this board as an outlet f***ed sucked. Today is the day we get back on track and it all starts with Jerry Sands. He needs to deliver in that cleanup spot because a lot of the regulars have been struggling. Why was your acct suspended?
  9. Why dont these same people ask Jake Arrieta about Chris Sale? I'd like to see how Jake would fare in the AL....oh wait, we did?
  10. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ May 20, 2016 -> 03:39 PM) That and I'd have Avi ahead of Lawrie because he's been a lot better and get his power up the lineup. Ya I would probably agree with you there
  11. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ May 20, 2016 -> 02:32 PM) Eaton Abreu Frazier Cabrera Lawrie Garcia Avila Jackson Saladino This is a different lineup. I like it and we'll see how it goes tonight. Honestly, the only thing I would change is having Melky hit 3rd in front of Frazier, but otherwise I like it.
  12. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ May 20, 2016 -> 02:29 PM) In 32 AB Rollins is hitting .452/.500/.710 with 2 HR against Gee. He really should be in the lineup over Saladino. Stop using sense to support your argument
  13. I'm bored and slightly hung over at work, so all I really want to do is think about White Sox baseball right now. My mind is on Timmy and when he's going to be coming up and making an impact on this team. He is absolutely tearing up AAA right now and SS is a vacuous hole of suck at the major league level. How long do you want to keep seeing results from him before you entertain the idea of bringing him up? I personally think if he's still hitting like this in mid June, you bring him up. The lineup still has too many easy outs in it and I think you can easily address one of them by bringing him up.
  14. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ May 20, 2016 -> 11:50 AM) Because you, a white sox fan, decided to go over to their message board and start talking s***? By the way, how do you have the time to do that? C'mon man. Whats the point? A Royals fan would be received the same way if the roles were reversed. That said, fu** the Royals! I dont know, caulfield has been here awhile
  15. Jesus, just looked at Delmonico's numbers, he is absolutely destroying AA. Move him to AAA immediately.
  16. Gotta wonder if Davidson has finally turned that corner. Strikeout rate is awful, but cant ignore that OPS. Still think he deserves a shot.
  17. Hope they get a good crowd tonight so this stretch starts off with some good energy. Pound these motherf***ers.
  18. QUOTE (shysocks @ May 19, 2016 -> 03:41 PM) Dan Hayes ‏@CSNHayes 39s39 seconds ago View translation #WhiteSox for 5/19: Eaton 9, Sanchez 4, Abreu 3, Frazier 5, Cabrera 7, Rollins 6, Sands DH, Avila 2, Jackson 8. Sale 1. Holy cow the bottom of that lineup looks like a turd sandwich
  19. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 19, 2016 -> 10:36 AM) http://m.mlb.com/news/article/177741112/ky...picid=151437456 Jonathan Mayo has the Sox taking Blake Rutherford and SS Gavin Lux in the 1st round. I'd be down with that. Not sure I would be any happier than that day 1. Maybe if Ray falls to 10 or Nolan Jones falls to 26. Otherwise that would be a huge boost to the system.
  20. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 18, 2016 -> 10:52 PM) Sure, but he's averaging 5.65 IP per start over EIGHT starts. That needs to be increased to 6.33-6.5ish. He's gone between 6-7 innings in 7 of those 8 games. Please just stop talking your nonsense. He's been fine outside of the Angels game.
  21. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 18, 2016 -> 10:42 PM) Rodon HAS to get his pitch count to a more manageable number where he's getting the ball to the bullpen in the 7th. We have to start using our relief corps in the 6th or earlier, it exposes all the problems, as we have already seen repeating itself as a theme in the last 10 days. Did you even watch the game last night? He would've easily cruised through 7 had there not been two brutal errors behind him. Those upped his pitch count immensely.
  22. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 18, 2016 -> 10:32 PM) YEP. Which is pretty amazing considering how "short term"-oriented the White Sox always were under KW. You plug Ian Desmond in at SS, you have a MUCH more potent offense and basically the same or likely better overall defense (certainly range) compared to Rollins. Saladino fits perfectly in that super-utility role. I don't think there's any way they were going to sign Desmond and Fowler, buy they still would have had plenty of money left to bring in Pedro Alvarez as part of a DH platoon. Other than Eaton and Cabrera, and those guys are gap hitters...we just don't have any LH power that opposing managers have to respect in late-game situations. One certainty, though, is that the White Sox aren't going anywhere if we don't see the same Rodon who started the last 10 games or so last year. Last night, he was "pretty good," at least his stuff looked appreciably more lively. 2 ER over 6 innings with 7 K's and 1 BB? Ya, I'd say that's "pretty good"
  23. QUOTE (SoCalSox @ May 18, 2016 -> 10:15 PM) Lindor HR in the 12th. About to be a 2.5 game lead. Cannot believe that massive division lead is just going to evaporate in a weeks time
