I just listened to that podcast, and if Chuck and Guff have any real insight into Sox camp, I agree with you that Leury looks like a goner. Looking at today's lineup and reading the tea leaves, I'm giving the bench spots to Sheets, Alberto, and Haseley. Things could change obviously, but those 3 plus Seby wouldn't surprise me at this point.

I would think Leury makes it too, but there does seem to be enough smoke to suggest that he might not.

Yeah, it's hard to tell which way they go. Neither Marisnick or Billy have really shown much in camp and Leury's money owed would seem like the trump card. Its anyone's guess at this point.

Interesting. I’ll have to give it a listen. Seby is a given and Alberto looks to be as well. Sheets as a bench power bat has merit. That really does only leave the 4th OF spot, and I do hope they are leaning towards a real OF. If they go with Sheets and a 4th OF, Leury has no spot. It’s certainly plausible that he’s a goner.

Moncada colliding in the OF has me less concerned about the injury bug on the whole as Eloy “cramping” up running to 1st. Eloy looked great in the WBC and physically he actually looks to be in the best shape of his life, so it’s discouraging to see him with a leg issue already. Hopefully Moncada being dumb doesn’t set him back, we need him to be in WBC form this year if the team is going to make any noise.

Alberto seems like a lock for a bench spot, as of now. Maybe they are just giving other guys a look the last week+? I’d love for him to be on the way out but I will doubt it until it happens.

I don't think he is in line to start, but I would be surprised if he didn't make an appearance.
