Players are people too. Everyone has bad days. Everyone also has days where they aren't 100%. Even being well paid, human motivations vary day in and day out when the work can be a grind. It's easy to hold players to some idealized standard, but playing is a job for them too. Players are still human at the end of the day.
Whoever wins the central will do so with a whimper, falling assbackwards into a division title by sucking slightly less than the competition.
Your 2022 AL Central champion White Sox slogan - winning by default.
Nightingale is a long time KW go to. Not too far of a stretch to think he would also reach out to Rosenthal. It does fit. KW does seem like he's towards the end of his Sox tenure as well.
@JRFegan
Miguel Cairo seems like he won’t be rotating his lineup much over the final 20 games. “Right now, something is working so I’m going to keep going,” said Cairo. “I’m going to mix it up a little bit, but not much.”
This is what, the 2nd scathing piece by a national writer about TLR in the past week? Is it too tinfoil hat to think Hahn or Kenny are spilling the dirt now that everyone can see a tangible difference between TLR and even a semi-competent manager?
We have a few national guys calling a spade a spade, and local guys really giving Cairo the spotlight for the recent turnaround. The writing is plain to see, but does JR double down in his my way or the highway intransigence or does he finally see the light?
Not just that, but the level to which the rest the rest of the staff seemed neutered, completely unable to influence or counteract the manager's horrible influence.
