  1. Yeah, that's was a good chuckle. It's pretty obvious to fans who don't have blind fealty to ownership that the owners aren't in fact working furiously to come to a resolution. Quite the opposite in fact.
  2. Yeah, its another hardball tactic. And its gross.
  3. So the lockout the billionaires started has gone nowhere because they have yet to bargain in good faith. But they are the ones going to grumble in frustration to the press at the lack of progress. GTFO with that nonsense. This shit is on you and on no one else.
  4. Seriously. How heavy is that water you're carrying there Bob?
  5. I honestly hope I am completely wrong about Pat. If he turns into a monster I will be the first to admit I was dead wrong. I want him to be as good as everyone seems to think he can be. But I am yet to see convincing evidence that points to that happening. And he's just sitting in limbo waiting for his body to heal before he can make any forward progress. It sucks.
  6. I would agree with this as well. They probably don't want trade Coby without replacing his contributions off the bench. Schroeder seems capable enough, and allows them to move Coby for some much needed size & athleticism.
  7. I fully admit that I think Pat was a reach at 4 and a waste of a top 5 pick. I wanted Ball or a trade down. Yes I am negatively biased. I watched almost every Bulls game last season and tried to be open minded about the kid. But every game I came away scratching my head as to what people were raving about. I don't see it. Sadly this lost year really throws a monkey wrench in his development and what little hope I had for him went out the window. Now I'm of the mind that whatever his development path is it probably doesn't align with the trajectory of this team. Until he can actually get on the court and make a meaningful impact on the game every game I don't have high hopes for him.
  8. Schroeder helps the 2nd unit more than TBJ does, I'd be down.
  9. I hated the pick and feel like they fell in love with workout vids, so my trust in them as far as Pat goes is zero. It's their one big swing and miss IMO. Those are some nice highlights, but nothing about them screams special to me. One good game on a bad team vs the Nets? How many games was he completely invisible on the court in all of those entitlement minutes? At some point age becomes an excuse. Plenty of kids have shown they have something special at 19. The lack of motor, the timid play, the lack of elite athleticism, the poor handle, the painfully slow needs to be wide open to get it off 3 point shot. None of that says special to me. I'm not saying he can't turn himself into a useful 3 & D PF, but a franchise cornerstone? I just don't see it.
  10. I know development isn’t linear, but seeing Ayo grow up before our eyes and contribute big as a fill-in starter gives me even less hope that PWill becomes anything more than a guy. Usually kids show flashes like Ayo has or a kid like Kuminga has for GSW, but I’m failing to remember Williams ever do anything on the court that made me stop and say wow.
  11. Anything more than a 3 game Wild Card round and I am opposed. I have always disliked the dual Wild Card format so I want a change there, but adding more teams just dilutes the post season IMO. I don’t like the idea of shortening the season. I love that baseball is constant for six months, almost every night. Perhaps chop off a series at the beginning of April when most of the country is still chilly and or gross, but more than that, no thank you. Off days during the regular season are bad enough as a fan, I don’t want even more days w/o baseball. Unless MLB wants to make every game accessible to any fan anywhere at any time, less baseball is a bad thing.
  12. I don't know personally, but it seemed like a month+. It was not an expedient refund.
  13. Simmons is good but not transcendent level talent IMO. His lack of consistent shot will always hold him back. Philly still seems to be asking the world for him in trade though, and no team should gut themselves to that level only to be left with Simmons and a shell of a roster.
  14. I'm sure once my bitterness fades I'll snag tix to a few games this summer. But they won't get the same dollar investment up front I might have otherwise made.
  15. Definitely not feeling overly compelled to drop coin on a 10 or 20 game plan right now, that's for sure.
  16. At this rate we will be lucky if it only wipes out April games. But I fear the owners want another 60 game season with expanded post season like 2020.
  17. This was the clarification I needed. Hopefully there isn’t a catch.
  18. My first thought upon reading the tweet was concern that locals would be blacked out. I really need to know what restrictions they apply as to not upset their cable overlords.
