  1. Is this a legit In-Market streaming option for cord cutters? Or are they still going to require a cable package to access?
  2. Coby found his touch again, but Ayo really needs to find his. He has to knock those 3s down to keep the opposing defense honest.
  3. My bookmark takes me to the forums. Glad I haven't seen that. Really don't need that reminder!?
  4. Yes. Sums up my perceptions/feelings quite well. Peripheral progress but still quite far apart on the core economic issues.
  5. Perhaps I should rephrase and say it seems like we are no closer, but you are both right in that some progress has been made. I haven't seen any reports that they have talked about the core economic issues yet, just talks on the periphery, which is probably why I am not at all optimistic that real progress is being made and we are any closer to a deal today than we were in November.
  6. That's what really burns me about the whole thing. Ownership is still going to make money hand over fist in whatever new CBA is signed. But here we are two months into a lockout with no resolution on the horizon and time rapidly running out before the season is delayed, no closer today than we were in November.
  7. Pretty much all for show. I'm of the belief that ownership wants to look like they are trying while also still running out the clock. Forcing players into losing game checks was always part of their plan IMO.
  8. Unless both sides lock themselves in a room to hammer it out over the next week+, and there seems to be zero sense of urgency from the owners, spring training definitely isn't starting on time.
  9. I haven’t seen any updates/news either.
  10. 100% agree. CEO salaries vs the labor that does the majority of the work are absurd.
  11. And players are welcome to. No one is forcing either side to be involved with professional baseball. I'm firmly on the side of labor and basically anti-billionaire, so while I acknowledge the exercise, its a futile argument to me. Players generate the revenue and owners do little more than decide how much revenue they want to spend on the team while profiting off the rest. Players should be entitled to far more of those revenues and owners very little IMO. I know it will never happen, but that's my view. Don't like spending revenue on the costs of running a franchise, tough, cash out and go play elsewhere.
  12. It would be quite delicious if ownership were forced to expose their books to the public after they initiated this whole mess to begin with.
  13. Except a home is a necessity, where as owning a baseball team isn't. Don't like the cost of operating a baseball team? Cool, sell and spend your billions on something else.
  14. It’s unfortunate but this seems most likely at this point. I love DJJ’s contributions but with an extended absence his contract figure becomes rather useful in matching salaries in trade.
  15. I’m also skeptical that adding Grant puts this team over the top. And if it doesn’t, you’ve probably burned your best trade assets for a guy that will likely bounce for a bigger roll/payday elsewhere.
  16. I’m still going by the earlier reports that he doesn’t want to go somewhere to play 2nd fiddle until I hear otherwise. I still haven’t seen a legit source report on his list of preferred destinations. If he really does want to come here and win, great, I’m open to finding a fair deal. But I hope the FO is doing its due diligence on him and his potential impact beyond his good stats on a bad team.
