“The 78” is alive and well, moisturized and thriving , Viva La Canal's Edge!
That's a technicality. Bottom line a team worth over eight billion dollars which has been an NFL joke for decades is going to ask the state/city for infrastructure support for their project. I'd tell them to go f#$% themselves.

Schultz and Smith going to fall league
They need the work that's for sure and they need to straighten themselves out.

Robert stays...
He's thinking, "whatever JR tells me to do with Robert, that's what will take place..."

Bears say it's Arlington Heights but need the state to approve some things (even though the Bears were valued recently in an article at 8.8 BILLION dollars) LOL https://chicago.suntimes.com/bears/2025/08/08/bears-president-arlington-heights-the-teams-sole-focus-in-stadium-push

Would you be on board with a rebrand when Ishbia takes over?
True but that also was a 'special' night promotion where the pitcher had no say on what jersey.

Fair point, let's say then the "last time" it occurred.

And also to be fair he's written the contract so that in all probability he will no longer be with us when the sale does go through. I think that's the reason it is worded the way it is. I've consistently said and written that he will not sell as long as he is alive due to the tax hit. Unless something happens in my opinion that still holds true, the sale will take place after he has departed. But time will tell.

The Future of the White Sox TV Broadcast Team
The Sox players themselves apparently missed every game in Seattle too!

SLC and Portland in my opinion do not have the needed population size to support a club for 81 home games.

Are we starting that garbage again. Brodie Brazil says...LOL. Who the hell is Brodie Brazil and why should I give a s%*#? Oh he's on You Tube, well then maybe I should pay attention...NOT!!!!!!!!! I've suggested to you once before to stop worrying about this issue. It is NOT happening. You'd be better spent with your time writing JR about how you should be the next G.M.

8/7 Gamethread vs Mariners
12th time this year the Sox had a lead in a game in the 7th inning or later...and lost the game. This one is different in that a pitcher wasn't responsible, it was fundamentals (which the Sox wouldn't know about if it bit them on the ass.) "Little things" like fielding win and lose games as well as situational hitting, Sox 1-17 in the game RISP. Pathetic.

As recently as 1983 the Cubs were closing the upper deck at Wrigley Field. The Sox of course had a terrific season while the Cubs were floundering.

The Bears want nothing to do with the Sox or a joint venture.

The gray road uniforms have Chicago on them written in script.

Still no Meidroth and he's not on the IL that I know of, so they play shorthanded again.

being unemployed for a few years may have something to do with that, he's auditioning for something somewhere.

Rick Hahn - Rosters To Rings Podcast
In another thread a few days ago someone posted something along the lines of 'JR isn't that involved' which I immediately corrected. This should settle that posters fantasy. JR is involved in literally EVERYTHING regarding the franchise. Always has been, always will be until the day he leaves. Again the Athletic story by Rosenthal this past September should be required reading for every White Sox fan left.

8/5 Sox vs. Mariners 8:40PM CT
Naylor is the latest in a long line of Sox killers. They may want to 'consider' changing the pitching pattern on him...just a thought.

Would you be on board with a rebrand when Ishbia takes over?
Here's the best 'rebrand' of all. Stop being a joke of a franchise and start winning. That is all. The rest is just fluff and fooferall.

Adrian Houser traded to TB for former top prospect Curtis Mead
It can be a real issue... of course, the money made helps overcome the situation some what.

HOPE
TLR told me one time he had a theory that he wanted to try out where three pitchers would throw in a game, regardless of the situation. He'd start the year with 12 pitchers. The first three would go opening day, then the next three the following day and so forth. Pitchers wouldn't be ranked from best to worst 1-12, but based on which hand they throw with, what they throw etc. He never did try this but he told me he was thinking about it. if a game went extra innings the fourth pitcher would be used. Basically pitchers would go three innings barring injury.

Unfortunately JR made it clear at the Getz press conference that "we won't be offering long term deals to pitchers." So you'll continue to get bottom of the barrel types that the Sox hope will rebound. Some times it happens like with Loaiza and Houser it really works out, but far more often it doesn't.
