Spring Training Thread
I don't think I've ever been less excited for baseball. I'll watch because I care about Moncada, TA, and a few others, but I wouldn't be surprised if ratings are even worse than last year

Benintendi right before Fulmer, Adell right before Burger, narrowly missing on Vlad Jr, narrowly missing on Luis Urias, trading Tatis... always coming up short indeed

Well throw the Bell album theory out the window. No clues or anything. Also this album is garbage, please do not listen to it

Regardless of where he signs, I do think there's a chance he announces it on his rap album which comes out at 11 PM CT

NFL Thread 2019-2020
I should clarify that the exact numbers primarily came from a Jets fan account who claims that his uncle works for 670 The Score, and people ran with them. Other than this, most of the #FakeInsiders are just "reporting" Bell to the Bears without numbers

NFL Thread 2019-2020
I know that #FakeInsiders are a painful memory for us, but there is a weird number of random accounts today that have been claiming Bell signed with the Bears for 4/64 (49 guaranteed). Not sure where it originated from, very likely fake, but I do think we're in on Bell

Guess the Opening Day 25 Man
I don't know how many times we have to disprove this point of yours. One would think that you'd acknowledge the evidence consistently presented that counters your claim, but you persist, which is why people think you're just trolling. Nonetheless, here we go again: Jose Abreu's OPS by month: March/April: .832 May: .817 June: .852 July: .876 August: .966 September: .866 With the exception of him being better in August, the other figures are all normal statistical variations that would be present given the sample size being used. If an .832 OPS in April and an .817 OPS in May is someone "consistently underperforming' then he's the least of our problems.

Guess the Opening Day 25 Man
Jay actually has a higher OBP against lefties than righties in his career. if anyone needs a platoon partner I think it would be Palka.

Sports Media Discussion
I went through a similar situation with Barstool. In 2016 they stole a video of mine without crediting me. I both emailed them and messaged them asking them for credit, received no response. So a few months later I filed a DMCA strike on them. Sure enough, they emailed me the next day and seemed pretty desperate. I handled it much differently than this person did and we eventually came to an agreement, but they clearly steal content and then don't care to give credit (despite requests to do so) until they get a strike on them.

Signing Luke Heimlich: Acceptable or Quit being a fan worthy?
- Signing Luke Heimlich: Acceptable or Quit being a fan worthy?
Honestly, before this news yesterday I actually believed that Heimlich was currently on the Royals on a minor league deal. This is because they are the only team that has expressed public interest in him recently, so I guess I assumed that he had signed- Who is your top 2019-20 free agent target
I do think that the Sox will end up with one of Martinez/Castellanos. Their market is teams with a DH, so eliminate half of the league already. In the AL East, the only team that might need a DH and not have to worry about the luxury tax is the Rays. In the central, we're probably the only team that would have interest, maybe the Twins but I doubt it. In the west, maybe the Astros go for one, but I don't know how aggressively. Keep in mind that A's DH Khris Davis will be a free agent too, and he's arguably better than Castellanos. If the competition for the 3 DHs is the White Sox, Rays, Twins, Astros, and *maybe* the Yankees/Red Sox get in on one but I doubt it, then I think we get one- Who is your top 2019-20 free agent target
I don't see the Sox signing Gerrit Cole but I can see them signing Grandal and/or JD Martinez.- 2018-9 MLB off season free agency thread
I'm surprised he's even still playing there between the rape allegations and attacking a police officer- Spring Training Thread
How many times does the same exact injury need to happen the same exact way before they either make him wear a sliding glove or make him slide feet first?- 2018-2019 Official NBA thread
It's two awful teams (who are both playing well lately as bmags noted) but this game has been the most entertaining of the season for me.- 2018-2019 Official NBA thread
Yes, it's Atlanta, but my god, the Zach/Lauri/Otto core has been so good.- Garpax vs KenHahn
So the defense of Sexton is that he plays on a horrible team, but Markkanen isn't good because, to quote you exactly, "accumulating big numbers on a bad team just doesn't prove anything"? Isn't it worrisome that Sexton can't put up numbers on such a bad team then?- Garpax vs KenHahn
I think that's an overstatement. He's not a good defender but he's also not Enes Kanter out there.- Garpax vs KenHahn
*calls people who watch the Bulls and see "even a little talent" delusional* *calls Markkanen "overmatched every night" and "soft"*- Guess the Opening Day 25 Man
I know it's pretty much a foregone conclusion, but I hate that Yolmer is gonna be the everyday 2B. We already know what we have in him. I'd rather give someone like Jose Rondon reps. - Signing Luke Heimlich: Acceptable or Quit being a fan worthy?
