Debatable. I understand your point but I don't know if they're still a playoff team. For this season, I'd argue that the Warriors, Rockets, Jazz, Thunder, Pelicans, Blazers, Timberwolves, Nuggets, and maybe Mavericks have better rosters. The West is just a bloodbath and LeBron might not be enough for the Lakers to sneak in ahead of more complete teams

If his defense is that bad, we should sign Grandal to catch (trade Castillo for whatever you can get), keep Omar as the backup, and have Collins eventually be the 1B/DH and spell the catchers a few times a month. The Evan Gattis role (circa 2016). I think the bat will play.

I really don't get it. It's a long-term play and they have some young pieces but going to a Western Conference team was him saying he doesn't care about rings anymore, because he sure as hell isn't winning one any time soon. I don't think they're any better than an 8 seed this year. West is just too stacked.

Yup. There's some serious power potential in Rondon's bat. He really, really needs a full season of MLB at bats.

If you click the link, the one "like" is Anderson himself. What's funny is that neither of these tweets mention Anderson at all, so he had to have either searched for it or seen it on his own browsing time and decided to like it.

And that's where watching the game is essential. We're absolutely in the double digits of the "ok, that pitch wasn't even close and is called a strike 0-1% of the time" kind of called third strike. The majority of those 49 (50 after last night) are probably borderline/usually called a strike by the umpire, but I'd say that at least 15 of them were just awful, awful calls.

I'd have to imagine that if MLB made ball and strike calls robotic, they would make sure that the same exact system is being used for all counts, all teams, etc
