Jose Abreu

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 13, 2014 -> 12:14 PM) So you're saying Chicago's going to end it too Oops. I guess so.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 13, 2014 -> 10:51 AM) So after being destroyed by the Kings last night the 76ers streak as 18 games and their next 8 are vs Indiana, vs Memphis, at Indiana, vs Chicago, vs New York, at Chicago, at San Antonio, and at Houston. They are in decent shape to tie the Cavs 26 game losing streak with that schedule. A home game against Detroit would be for magic #27 if they do lose those 8. It's like the opposite of last year's Miami streak.

If he's cut, I'll never forget when Earl attempted an end around in the Bears Packers NFC Championship Game with under a minute left.

Yeah, Hixon and Willie Young are official. New KR and possibly no Earl Bennett after so many years.

QUOTE (chisoxfan310 @ Mar 12, 2014 -> 09:41 PM) Semien and Davidson start in AAA, De Aza/Viciedo dealt with Danks making team as 4th OF, Gillaspie at third, Keppinger on DL, Garcia backup infielder. Its not that hard. And if Kepp isn't on DL, Garcia getting at bats in the outfield, infield, and random DH at bats in AAA. Not that hard. I think Davidson can start up in the bigs. Which one of De Aza/Viciedo gets dealt and to whom?

I'm feeling really good about Micah Johnson. Just something about him.

We're getting close to the season and I've said this 100 times but I hate it so I'll say it again. We have De Aza, Viciedo, and Jordan Danks (who's been killing it) battling for two spots. Then we have Gillaspie, Davidson, Semien, Keppinger, and L. Garcia battling for 1-2 spots. Just trade De Aza and one of Gillaspenger to make this easier.

Jose Abreu- 8 Keon Barnum- 1 Rangel Ravelo- 0 Marcus Semien- 4 Micah Johnson- 6 Carlos Sanchez- 2 Leury Garcia- 3 Clelius Rondon- 1 Connor Gillaspie- 3.5- would have been more but in 2016 he injures his left leg chasing a tornado during the All-Star break (his hobby is tornado chasing) Matt Davidson- 5 Trey Michalzsewski- 0 Avisail Garcia- 6 Dayan Viciedo- 7 Adam Eaton- 6 Jordan Danks- 4 Jared Mitchell- 0 Trayce Thompson- 4 Keenyn Walker- 4 Adam Engel- 0 Jacob May- 0 --- Chris Sale- 8.5 Jose Quintana- 6 Erik Johnson- 6 Chris Beck- 4 Scott Snodgress- 3 Daniel Webb- 4 Nate Jones- 5

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Mar 12, 2014 -> 10:28 AM) Keith Law was at the White Sox game yesterday and these were his observations: http://insider.espn.go.com/blog/keith-law/post?id=2001 GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Chicago White Sox signed Cuban first baseman Jose Abreu to a six-year, $68 million contract with some expectation that he'd be in their lineup this year, the sooner the better given the size of the investment. Given what I saw from him on Tuesday afternoon at Camelback Ranch, I think they had good cause for such optimism, as Abreu looks like he can really hit... No love for Garcia eh?

QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Mar 11, 2014 -> 05:19 PM) It's 50/50 after +11,00 votes. Get on your twitters and facebooks and spread the word for the Sox. But whatever you do, don't get on your MySpace. The entire Cubs fanbase will see and vote against us.

OT: Am I the only one who still wants us to do whatever it takes outside of Sale/Abreu/Garcia to land Giancarlo Stanton?

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 10, 2014 -> 02:10 PM) New list of guys who seem like they should be pitching in AAA this year (no particular order)... Tony Pena Jr That's two pitching staffs PLUS a couple more guys. I'm guessing you'll see a whole bunch of other trades, for cash or some other org need, between now and 3/31. *** = Out of Options The same #57 Tony Pena from 10/11?

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 8, 2014 -> 03:04 PM) Comiskey Park Hitmen ‏@CPHSox 2m Andre Reinzo's 03/08 #SpringTraining line: 3.0 IP, 2H, 1R, 1ER, ZERO BB, 5K. 1.80 ERA. #WhiteSox @MLBBrasil @spinballnet @andre_rienzo That's impossible. 1 ER over 3 IP is a 3.00 ERA.

Keep Viciedo, trade De Aza. Viciedo went .265/14/56 in just 124 games last year. Give him a chance. We know he has a ton of power in him (2012).

he'll be fine

Ervin Santana signs 1Y, $14MM deal with unidentified AL club. Orioles and Royals say it's not them. 1 in 13 chance it's us.

QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Mar 7, 2014 -> 01:35 PM) Seems there is some buzz picking up nationally for your Chicago White Sox, Eaton, Abreu, Garcia and a healthy Danks seem to have piqued interest. Locally**

About damn time

Usually, when we're expected by our own fans to do s*** (2007, 2013), we suck. But when our White Sox faithful think we're going to suck (2005, 2008, 2014?), we perform well. Put me at over.

Ties are fun huh?

Liddi and Mitchell strike out, inning over.

Pedroza grounds out but MJ scores. Tie game!

Johnson steals second, advances to 3rd on error.

Micah Johnson singles, he's 3-5. One on, no out, 6-5 KCR, Herrera on the mound, Jamie Pedroza at the dish
