Jose Abreu

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 30, 2014 -> 10:01 PM) That who stretch to get to the playoffs in 2008 was incredible. Thomes solo shot to beat the twins 1 0 in the playoff game. Ken freaken Griffey throwing a runner out at the plate. The blackouts. How could I forget Game 163!

QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Jan 30, 2014 -> 09:59 PM) Back-2-Back-2-Back-2-Back HR's by Thome, Konerko, Ramirez and Uribe in 2008. Probably one of the most fun games I've been to in a while. That was great. I remember Toby Hall trying so hard for the 5th one.

QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Jan 30, 2014 -> 09:58 PM) it was awesome when shingo retired 29 straight and 26 2/3 scoreless innings in 05? Yeah, that's true. The list is for after the WS championship but that was a great moment too.

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 30, 2014 -> 09:55 PM) A lot of these are hardly forgotten. But I'll add B2B 300 career hrs by Konerko and Dye. Likely will never be done again. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 30, 2014 -> 09:56 PM) Frank's return. Gordon's walk-off hit his rookie year. I think vs. the Cubs? Sox-Cubs brawl. Added. Buehrle>Wood, yeah, many are not such as the PGs and 2008 playoffs. But I just remembered things like the B2B2B2B HRs and Buehrle's consecutive batters retired record.

QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jan 30, 2014 -> 09:49 PM) Feck it. Can anyone help me out here? And sure I'll add a 2012 one

QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jan 30, 2014 -> 09:49 PM) Feck it. Can anyone help me out here? I remember those- don't post the message board tailored link, just copy and paste the link on the top of your screen.

QUOTE (Al Lopez's Ghost @ Jan 30, 2014 -> 09:30 PM) Thome's walk off 500th homer. Added

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 30, 2014 -> 09:30 PM) How do you forget Buehrle's perfect game? I didn't, it was one of the first on there. -Edit: In fact, the first one on there.

I just realized so much White Sox stuff has happened since 2005 that I've forgotten about. Please add whatever you can remember and I'll add them to this master list: 2006 or later please! -Buehrle perfect -Humber perfect -Wise catch -Ramirez glove flip -Ramirez grand slam record -Ramirez grand slam VS DET -Buehrle flip -Ramirez flip -Iguchi defensive play (06) -B2B2B2B HRs -2008 Playoffs -Jenks consecutive batters retired record -Buehrle consecutive batters retired record --------EDITS START HERE------- -Thome walk-off 500th -The 2012 season (Youk, Dunn's homer to keep postseason hopes alive, Rios' slide, etc.) -Konerko/Dye B2B 300 career HRs -Frank Thomas' return -Gordon Beckham walk-off vs Cubs (rookie year) -Pierzynski/Barrett Incident -Game 163 (Griffey, Thome, Danks) -Buehrle's Other No-Hitter -Paulie stays in game after getting HBP in face, hits HR 1st pitch next AB -Ozzie pulls team off field as Twins fans hurl objects at our players -Pierzynski scores from 1st on a ground ball -Andruw Jones HR #400 -Paul Konerko HR #400 -Viciedo's Walk-Off vs Seattle (2013)

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 30, 2014 -> 08:35 PM) Well, best chance until Jose Abreu goes for 74. 441** (Cuban league stats averaged into a 162 game season per wikipedia)

Good idea. I'd definitely go.

But even without ADA we still have JorDanks to be 4th OF so...

Isn't he like the White Sox Ambassador to Executive Baseball Operations or some s***?

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 29, 2014 -> 04:08 PM) I have fond memories of his time with Baltimore. He should go in as a Dodger, Twin, or Oriole.

Here's something crazy I saw on FB. Someone suggested: 1. Eaton (CF) 2. Viciedo (LF) 3. Garcia (RF) 4. Abreu (1B) 5. Ramirez (SS) 6. Dunn (DH) 7. Flowers © 8. Beckham (2B) 9. Gillaspie (3B)

If he doesn't go in wearing a Cleveland cap, all hell will break loose.

QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Jan 28, 2014 -> 10:57 PM) I've always been more worried about trades. I had a Quentin jersey, and got to wear it 1 year. Then I had a Pierzynski and Buehrle jersey for 2 years and they both left. Currently rocking a Sale one (which I bought the day after he signed his extension). I think the next one will be a Frank Thomas. I'm getting sick of replacing jerseys every 2-3 years, especially because I buy the authentic ones that cost a lot. If I were you, I'd go for Abreu or Eaton.

I actually prefer Alexei in the 2-hole. .284 with 6 home runs is better than .265 with 9.

That being said, I like this lineup: 1. Eaton 2. Ramirez 3. Garcia 4. Abreu 5. Dunn 6. Viciedo 7. Davidson 8. Beckham 9. Flowers

Pretty sure we re-signed TFlow to be our starting catcher (and also hoping that he only sucked due to his shoulder). I've said it before and I'll say it again- I'll take a healthy Tyler Flowers over a healthy Josh Phegley any day.

We don't need Santana. Santana is the most erratic, inconsistent pitcher I've ever seen. One season he's 3.10, the next he's 5.67. No thank you, I'm content with Sale, Quintana, Danks, Johnson, and Paulenzo.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jan 27, 2014 -> 11:06 PM) We have Flowers and Josh at catcher he has a good chance to break camp as the backup. Hey Soxfest, did you go to SoxFest this year?

QUOTE (hammerhead johnson @ Jan 27, 2014 -> 10:08 PM) Thanks, but I'm referring to people who have Nieto in the starting lineup. I can't blame you for being confused. The thread creator asked for starting lineups, but some people have been posting benches, 25 man rosters, etc. I was really asking for the batting order only, but I don't mind people posting extra.

Trades will likely be made involving De Aza/3B. The 1B situation is Abreu almost always, Dunn vs RHP and Konerko vs LHP.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 27, 2014 -> 03:18 PM) I'd agree, just wondering whether he is best suited to hit there now and whether that's best for this roster. Yeah, didn't Rios lead off in his first few seasons?
