Actually was a member a long time before but I’m old and forgot my info. I’m posting because this is ridiculous. Also my first home game was in 1973 so I’m not some guy who doesn’t love the Sox. All I can say is Rick is working so hard on this.

So let’s look at this- someone broadcasts they are talking to a Sox front office person at a 1 yo birthday party. That’s telegraphing it. No way in hell they say anything because their ass is on the line. Trust Rick.

A decision is close NYY out now on Manny and Dodgers out for Harper. Manny’s agent has to take offer before Harper’s meeting tomorrow. If Phillies sign him Manny only has Sox as an option maybe Phillies but doubtful. Not the same for Harper who has Nationals out there if White Sox are out. Sit back, relax and strap it down. It’s very close.

I’m an attorney as well and appreciate your view. I think Yankees could have planted it but it’s more likely that Machado is getting annoyed and told his agent get an offer from NY ASAP or let’s finish it up. This clearly has gone longer than expected. Let’s face it, if Hahn gets him for 240 M than he’s got room for a second WOW free agent.

Remember a 250 million offer from Yankeees is worth substantially less in NYC because of their state tax. The White Sox will get it done.

Not one to read a ton into social media but look at the guy’s Instagram (friend Cody ) and it’s filled with pictures with Bryce. Bryce is all about brand and calculated, I find it as the weirdest coincidence in world or ... If it is a mistake, Boras and his PR people are not happy.

Actually I think just the opposite. This will give them a real opportunity to show how “in “ they are. They have no money on books and really need a name/face for franchise. The fact he is waiting is good too. He will be time with family and his Brother-in -law. He signs with Sox right after New Years.

I am sure they required all to meet a minimum contract amount. If they don’t meet it they don’t visit. Would be stupid not to. And that way they create some incentive to make an offer to end it all.

For what is worth, the Sox called me today to ask if I wanted season tickets after not renewing for 2 years I told the ticket rep, I wanted to wait until the Tanaka thing played out and if he signed I just might. Her response: "I am hearing that exact same thing from so many people". Sign him!
