  1. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 27, 2016 -> 09:23 PM) Comes in and walks the first batter he faces. Now it's Albers who has been struggling Honestly the hitter was out but umpire doesn't know what a strike is
  2. QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ May 24, 2016 -> 07:36 PM) Again, why would the Yankees, who have a talented team, are playing .500 ball, and have more money than God be interested in giving us fair trade value for Beltran? Beltran is currently posting an .822 OPS and would only save the Yankees $12M or so. That's peanuts for a team carrying a $214M payroll. If the Sox wanted Beltran, they'd have to overwhelm the Yankees to the point where they couldn't say no. Comparing Beltran's current trade value to that of Bruce and Santana is also silly. The latter two play for bad teams in small markets, and both franchises have strong incentive to dump salary. Santana is also under contract through 2018 and is owed way more money than the other two. The Sox would have to give up a better minor league package for Beltran than Bruce. The Sox could probably get Santana for a bag of Big League Chew if they agreed to take on all of his remaining contract. Again if Beltran wont waive his no trade clause to come to the Sox it's a moot point
  3. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 24, 2016 -> 05:35 PM) The other problem with CarGo is he's giving you negative WAR at the moment. I'm not sure you want to upset the current OF dynamic and put Melky at DH, although that's probably what would happen because of CarGo's reputation. Same thing would be true of someone like Parra, who, if you look just at his offensive stats, looks like a fine contributor but he must be grading out terribly on defense to be so low in WAR. All we can do is hang in there until the middle of June and wait for the market to emerge. I suppose theoretically someone like Shuck, Hayes or Coats could be recalled if there's no other choice, but I still think Ventura won't trust an unproven rookie hitter over a veteran, even someone like Carlos Sanchez. What I would really like to know is why the Tigers and Royals were all over Jackie Bradley, Jr., after the 2014 season and we weren't even sniffing around. I definitely wouldn't be putting him in outfield. Would be dhing to keep him healthy
  4. QUOTE (Lillian @ May 24, 2016 -> 05:13 PM) Look at CarGo's stats, now that he has cooled off. He has pretty much the same line as Avi. When you factor in that he is playing in the N.L. and in Colorado, he doesn't seem very intriguing, especially with that contract. CarGo actually has higher average and obp on the road vs at home this year and is hitting right handers alot better the avi.
  5. QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ May 24, 2016 -> 01:11 PM) What makes you think that the Yankees aren't trying to compete this season? They're a .500 team and are only 5.5 games back. Teixeira is having a terrible year. Beltran would be the guy to go after but, again, the Yankees don't really look like sellers right now and the Sox don't have anything to offer in return besides Anderson and Fulmer. Main problem with Beltran is he can block trade to sox
  6. QUOTE (Knuckles @ May 23, 2016 -> 08:32 PM) Over/Under how many HR Avila will hit all season set at 5. How about over/under 5 rbis for the season lol
  7. QUOTE (SoCalSox @ May 23, 2016 -> 08:18 PM) Jose Ramirez with another HR. 1-0 Indians. Well one jose is hitting the ball
  8. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ May 23, 2016 -> 08:02 PM) Really just want to see EJ say f*** it and be aggressive let it all out Lived up to it in the first inning
  9. QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 23, 2016 -> 07:07 PM) Who'd you rather see gone after this, Sanchez or Albers? Sanchez needs to go. Bring up leury Garcia. Can play defense and gives you speed off the bench
  10. QUOTE (Dunt @ May 23, 2016 -> 01:53 PM) So is Avi hurt or in the doghouse here? That's 3 games in a row now that he hasn't been used Avi Garcia will sit out his third straight game in the doubleheader opener. He says he's fine and Robin Ventura said he'll play tonight. https://twitter.com/ChiTribKane/status/734819682641977344
  11. QUOTE (Knuckles @ May 22, 2016 -> 04:27 PM) Did Abreu ask for the day off? He was given it to try to regroup
  12. QUOTE (flavum @ May 22, 2016 -> 11:37 AM) Rodon is going to be on today. 7.1, 1 run. And sox will probably be losing lol
  13. QUOTE (Lemon_44 @ May 19, 2016 -> 05:08 AM) I wish Jay Bruce would cool off a bit and his price tag may come down. I know Eaton has been stellar in RF but I think the team would be much better with Bruce in RF, Eaton in CF, and Jackson to the 4th OF role to which he is better suited. Bruce is not a good outfielder. He's better suited for dh.
  14. This is the 2015 team we know. No pitching and offenses can't get the big hits
  15. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2016/05/17/lev...-pitching-deal/ Sox looking for pitching. Both starters and relievers.

  17. Rick Hahn: #WhiteSox would be ready to make move now to impact club. Timeline doesn't match 29 other teams. Didn't comment on Lincecum. https://twitter.com/CSNHayes/status/732684454683127808 Sox GM said the team would not be afraid to go after a big. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ May 11, 2016 -> 06:43 PM) Sanchez will hit. He's a notoriously slow starter. Sands needs to go, and Shuck can replace him. Sanchez didn't hit last year when he was given the opportunity. That's why Lawrie was brought in for better offense. I really don't see him being more to the team then part of a trade package at this point.
  21. QUOTE (Condor13 @ May 10, 2016 -> 08:11 PM) At the point where the double play should have ended the inning It should but didn't. He keeps falling behind with the batters and looks like he's lobbing his pitches. Not much finish on some of them.
  22. QUOTE (Condor13 @ May 10, 2016 -> 07:35 PM) Rodon just threw good enough to end the 1st inning with only 12 pitches and no runs and everyone is piling on him like he is pitching bad, wtf is wrong with some of you. That inning was solely the product of bad outfield play. He gave up 2 hits, got a shallow fly ball and a double play ball. If Sale did that everyone on here would be so far up Sale's ass they wouldn't know if it were night or day outside. Not sure where you got 12 pitches but he end the first inning with 23.
  23. QUOTE (Green Line @ May 10, 2016 -> 07:30 PM) I believe its all in Rodon's head. Whenever anything goes wrong behind him he immediately falls apart. Sale rubbing off on him
  24. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ May 10, 2016 -> 07:25 PM) It sort of seems like you want Rodon to struggle. Dude is struggling on his own
