The #Nats tried to get the #WhiteSox to include closer David Robertson in the Adam Eaton trade, but Sox refused, will deal separately. https://twitter.com/BNightengale/status/806942192245698560

#WhiteSox' David Robertson can block trades to: #Tigers, #Dodgers, #Mets, #Athletics, #Phillies. https://twitter.com/DevanFink/status/806914593507385344

Hahn: Perhaps now that the process has started in earnest, teams know ‘Now is the time to get serious and bear down on what’s on the table' https://twitter.com/CST_soxvan/status/806919757848973312 Not done yet: Hahn left Winter Meetings saying #WhiteSox 'still thoroughly engaged, deeply engaged, on a number of different [trade] fronts' https://twitter.com/CST_soxvan/status/806918306326138880

The concern now for teams that want #WhiteSox's Quintana: The acquisition cost will be exorbitant, given what CWS pulled off last two days. https://twitter.com/Ken_Rosenthal/status/806629361675882499

Hearing no deals are close right now with the White Sox. Things can definitely change, but for now, nothing seems imminent. https://twitter.com/ChuckGarfien/status/806580473388531717

#Nationals considering CF trade targets beyond Andrew McCutchen, source says. Adam Eaton of the #WhiteSox is one of them. @MLB @MLBNetwork https://twitter.com/jonmorosi/status/806571201053261832

QUOTE (steveno89 @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 10:16 AM) Why look to move Rodon right now? He is under team control for 5 more season and is exactly the type of arm you want to keep around. He could still be on the team in a few years when you are ready to compete and just be entering his prime Hes going to have to be moved eventually. Hes a boras client and will walk when his 5 yrs are up. Better to get some out of him then let him walk for nothing. Would be surprised if he goes this soon but probably eventually.

Ian Desmond will be leaving rangers. Has opportunity elsewhere. https://twitter.com/JonHeyman/status/806520121086853120

Braves ultimately wouldn't pay price for Sale. Do have interest in Quintana, who has 4 yrs left. Depends on timetable. https://twitter.com/JonHeyman/status/806507403441225728

There's an increasing sense among teams in the elite-closer market that Kenley Jansen and Aroldis Chapman could be close to decisions. https://twitter.com/JeffPassan/status/806501833854386176

A potential dodgers-chisox deal could be bigger (Frazier, robertson) but LA's top targets r jansen, turner for closer, 3B https://twitter.com/JonHeyman/status/806496502596124673

After #WhiteSox traded Chris Sale, the amount of interest in their other players was described as "tons." https://twitter.com/ChuckGarfien/status/806497235626237952

Nats haven't given up on chisox pitching. Talked late last nite about Quintana https://twitter.com/JonHeyman/status/806495110552834048

QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 07:01 AM) Ha ha, this is going to be a fun thread today! Much like the Sale thread leading up to the trade. Feels so nice that the Sox have finally given in to rebuilding the organization. Going to be nice to see all these prospects come in and hopefully start righting the ship

QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 7, 2016 -> 06:55 AM) Rosenthals latest said Nats not interested in Q. Nightengale just said they were interested. Just posted the tweet

The #Whitesox are already engaged in serious talks about trading starter Jose Quintana with several teams, including #Nats, #Astros https://twitter.com/BNightengale/status/806482746428289024

Nats have shown interest in Jose quintana. Unsure how anxious CWS are to move Q, but as said about chisox: "nobody's sacred" https://twitter.com/JonHeyman/status/806301593696137217

Heard around the Winter Meetings: there are more teams with interest in Quintana than there were pursuing Sale. https://twitter.com/scottmerkin/status/806279598698856448 Not sure of the level of seriousness in regard to Quintana and the various teams https://twitter.com/scottmerkin/status/806279678445162498

Per @harding_at_mlb, #Rockies already talking to #WhiteSox about Abreu. Frazier, as potential FA, would come at lower acquisition cost. https://twitter.com/Ken_Rosenthal/status/806278922304425985

Sox sale not done after Sale: 'If team interested in premium, controllable starting pitching we have others that fit description' sez Hahn. https://twitter.com/CST_soxvan/status/806263843299229696

Robertson @DRob30 value is rising with closer prices. Any of the Chapman/Jansen runnersup makes sense. Yanks like him. https://twitter.com/JonHeyman/status/806242638743699458

Quintana and Robertson combo could work for nats, as @Joelsherman1 suggestion. Speculative but makes sense. https://twitter.com/JonHeyman/status/806242061942947840

Regarding Chisox's sale (lower case sale) and star Jose Quintana, heard this:"Nobody's sacred." https://twitter.com/JonHeyman/status/806238744663756803
