  1. Yeah this is getting brutal. At some point someone had to realize this isn’t enjoyable to listen to
  2. Of course I don’t get to watch the 1 good all around game the Sox play all season (don’t care if it was against the tigers)
  3. Beautiful slide. Also not sure he could have hit that any harder
  4. Well you’d like more than 5 but good outing by Cease. His incredible stuff is almost a burden to him at times, the K’s rack up the pitches. A few more ground balls wouldn’t hurt. Of course better command wouldn’t hurt either, but both incredible stuff and great command is a rarity
  5. Lol wow, a new way to give up runs and that was on Mendick. Not a great throw but looked like he actually closed his glove too soon, it was very reachable
  6. A tired Foster is the only option? going to shaky…at best. Also feels like the Sox are somehow self sabotaging themselves with this roster. We shouldn’t be this tight on pitching with expanded rosters
  7. Lowe has a real “hate the face” thing going on. The short sleeve turtle neck sure doesn’t help. but hell of a job by banks
  8. Of course…Sox stranding runners has become comically predictable
  9. You were likely saying the same thing about Grandal 10 days ago. He’s now seemingly hit his way out of the funk. Yoan is still less than 100 AB’s into his season, let’s relax a little
  10. That was an obvious strike. So was the 2nd pitch that was called a ball. ump hasn’t been good, but nothing to do with that AB
  11. Right on the plate, come on Yoan. Awful. Got bailed out on the 2nd pitch too
  12. If the Phillies aren’t a smack in the face wake up call for what firing a manager that doesn’t connect with the players can do I’m not sure anything will be. Now 7-0 since firing Girardi. I have 0 doubt the team would absolutely perk up and get better without TLR
  13. Fuck…that was a great 3-2 pitch. Gavin blew it on pitch 4, 97 right down the middle
  14. Can’t try to backhand that. That’s little league level fundamentals
  15. Well the good news is that we are actually making a pitcher work and throw pitches for once. The bad news is that the team is still bad at hitting a baseball
  16. Maybe I’m naive, but I’m not as doom and gloom on Yoan as most (all?) seem to be. I think it’s entirely plausible that the lockout + his early season injury and we are seeing Spring Training version of Yoan. 81 AB’s isn’t enough for me to throw up the red flag yet.
  17. Fuck that was close, got me out of my seat. Just missed it
  18. I know people like to complain about Jason and Stone’s shenanigans during the game…but this broadcast is sleep inducing. Also, what a world where Danny Mendick is our best hitter
  19. Good to get out…but Cease is going to be lucky to go 4, not good. Really don’t want to see multiple innings from Crick
  20. This team’s inability to take a walk has almost become a skill at this point. They are putting effort into having the worst AB’s possible. And yes Gordon just adds insult to injury watching this team
  21. Is it possible Grandal is the worst player in baseball right now? Legit question
  22. This team is borderline unwatchable. Bad D + 0 offense = a bad product. Unfortunately the owner of the team just doesn’t care. As much as I disagree with the moves that were made by Hahn, it’s painfully obvious that ownership is the problem with this team
  23. You don’t think there is an aspect of self awareness as a manager of a diverse team to not make headlines on a divisive subject? Couldn’t Tony simply DO what he believes in and not go into detail talking about it with the media? Whether it should or shouldn’t be, and however minor, it IS a distraction that could have easily been avoided. And yes, of course when the team is vastly underperforming and Tony is struggling (to put it nicely) these types of things will get magnified.
