  1. That’s the entire team all year. I’m too lazy to look it up, but this team has to be at least flirting with least amount of walks in a season
  2. Lol come on Jason…no one has ever pitched around Luery
  3. Swing at a bad 1st pitch after a walk…checks out for this team
  4. Huge Harrison…didn’t think he had a shot in that AB. Good stuff
  5. I’m always a huge defender of baseball and don’t understand why people think it’s boring….I wouldn’t recommend watching a Sox game to my worst enemy. This offense is completely brutal to watch. Guys just hacking at anything. I don’t care enough to go back and look at Tuesday‘s game enough, but at least 15 straight innings without a walk now. A team has to put effort into that kind of ineptitude
  6. Not a single walk in the game by our offense. Not a good strategy for winning baseball games.
  7. I know JR won’t fire LaRussa…but the hitting coach at least has to go. League worst 81 walks should be a fireable offense. Pitchers are probably happy when they see the Sox on the schedule
  8. Our offense is painfully bad. Hard to watch If I’m counting correctly it’s been only 8 out of 35 games the team has scored 5 or more runs so far. 3 of the 8 were in the 1st 5 games. 2 of the 8 were in extra innings. 3 of the 8 were losses.
  9. Probably say this every time be does a game…but Gordon’s accent is bizarre to me. He sounds more Baltimore/Philly than he does Georgia/Southern
  10. Sousa just isn’t good enough to warrant taking Cease out of this game. It’s not like Sousa is automatic
  11. The switch was dumb no doubt But Sheets, Luery, McGuire is an absolutely brutal stretch in the lineup…you’d have to be drunk to write those 3 names in a row on a lineup card
  12. Got the job done…but should have been multiple runs given how many extremely hittable pitches there were
  13. No idea how Michael got out of that inning…some very hittable 91 mph fastballs But however he did it, it was a great outing for Michael. Good to see him be able to navigate a tough lineup without his best stuff
  14. Im convincing myself he’s taking some off the fastball for control purposes…he was throwing hardest at 94/95 during the terrible 2nd inning
  15. It’s getting increasingly difficult to convince myself that this offense is going to snap out of this funk anyday now. This isn’t bad luck, our guys are just hacking with no plan up there. It’s a bad sign when walks are a rare occurrence
  16. He’s ramped it up the past few batters. Unfortunately it seems most/all of the pitches at 95 he has no control of
  17. Hit 95 there at least…middle in that he’s lucky didn’t end up the seats tho
  18. Yaz just absolutely ice cold. Doesn’t seem to be seeing the ball well at all
  19. Went to bed in the 9th (east coast) thinking the game was over only to wake up to a loss. Obviously a horrific loss and there are no excuses…but it’s not the end of the world either. Some (a lot) of the posts in this thread are ridiculous. It’s still the beginning of May and once Lynn comes back we will have 4 legit studs in our rotation. The hitting literally can’t get any worse and we have guys with proven track records. This team will play well above .500 in June, July and August and have 0 problems making the playoffs.
  20. You can throw 99 with a foot of run…why are you snapping a curve ball off every other pitch?
