Went to bed in the 9th (east coast) thinking the game was over only to wake up to a loss. Obviously a horrific loss and there are no excuses…but it’s not the end of the world either. Some (a lot) of the posts in this thread are ridiculous. It’s still the beginning of May and once Lynn comes back we will have 4 legit studs in our rotation. The hitting literally can’t get any worse and we have guys with proven track records. This team will play well above .500 in June, July and August and have 0 problems making the playoffs.

Maybe I’m giving TLR too much credit, but I don’t think we’d be seeing as much of Reese if Eloy and Vaughn were available. But then again he’d probably play Sheets too much instead…

Has there been anything said about Yaz not being able to catch? Or is it due to missing 3 starters and TLR thinking this is the best lineup?

Would have given us about .05% chance of winning when Reylo was in that jam…good to see this team with resiliency and heart. The pitching staff (minus Keuchle) is legit. Once we can actually consistently play baseball in weather above 65 degrees the offense will pick up and we will cruise back to 1st place.

I think….I just enjoyed watching a Sox game? Rare this season, feels weird But love to see the pitching staff dominant and good overall team play. Offense still needs to be better, but at least the D was solid and no stupid mistakes took us out of the game

Probably too risky with Pollack‘s injury history…but does anyone think Engel has any trade value? He definitely has value to us as a late game def sub and pinch runner, would just be curious to see if any team would be willing to give up a half decent arm for Engel.

I’m sure TLR will insist because of matchups…but there really isn’t any reason Sheets should be on the roster. We have plenty of OF’s/1B already and his bad isn’t making up for anything
