  1. Sousa just isn’t good enough to warrant taking Cease out of this game. It’s not like Sousa is automatic
  2. The switch was dumb no doubt But Sheets, Luery, McGuire is an absolutely brutal stretch in the lineup…you’d have to be drunk to write those 3 names in a row on a lineup card
  3. Got the job done…but should have been multiple runs given how many extremely hittable pitches there were
  4. No idea how Michael got out of that inning…some very hittable 91 mph fastballs But however he did it, it was a great outing for Michael. Good to see him be able to navigate a tough lineup without his best stuff
  5. Im convincing myself he’s taking some off the fastball for control purposes…he was throwing hardest at 94/95 during the terrible 2nd inning
  6. It’s getting increasingly difficult to convince myself that this offense is going to snap out of this funk anyday now. This isn’t bad luck, our guys are just hacking with no plan up there. It’s a bad sign when walks are a rare occurrence
  7. He’s ramped it up the past few batters. Unfortunately it seems most/all of the pitches at 95 he has no control of
  8. Hit 95 there at least…middle in that he’s lucky didn’t end up the seats tho
  9. Should we be concerned by the velo?
  10. Yeah that was Definitely weird
  11. Yaz just absolutely ice cold. Doesn’t seem to be seeing the ball well at all
  12. Went to bed in the 9th (east coast) thinking the game was over only to wake up to a loss. Obviously a horrific loss and there are no excuses…but it’s not the end of the world either. Some (a lot) of the posts in this thread are ridiculous. It’s still the beginning of May and once Lynn comes back we will have 4 legit studs in our rotation. The hitting literally can’t get any worse and we have guys with proven track records. This team will play well above .500 in June, July and August and have 0 problems making the playoffs.
  13. Thought I saw a grimace and bit of a limp too
  14. You can throw 99 with a foot of run…why are you snapping a curve ball off every other pitch?
  15. 6 straight without scoring more than 4 runs in any game…wonder how many times that’s happened? Not that I’m complaining
  16. Not that it really matters…but that 2nd to last pitch clip Mendick’s elbow pad? Thought I saw a small change of direction
  17. 1st Burr, now Foster looking nasty. Those 2 being reliable all year would be huge
  18. Maybe I’m giving TLR too much credit, but I don’t think we’d be seeing as much of Reese if Eloy and Vaughn were available. But then again he’d probably play Sheets too much instead…
  19. Has there been anything said about Yaz not being able to catch? Or is it due to missing 3 starters and TLR thinking this is the best lineup?
  20. Would have given us about .05% chance of winning when Reylo was in that jam…good to see this team with resiliency and heart. The pitching staff (minus Keuchle) is legit. Once we can actually consistently play baseball in weather above 65 degrees the offense will pick up and we will cruise back to 1st place.
  21. Terrible Jose…hate that this team swings at the 1st pitch so much. He mindlessly jumped on a ball to pull that was low and away
  22. What are you doing burger?
  23. Am I crazy or is that clearly a 2 seam grip on Kopech‘s fastball?
