Race for the worst 2018 record (Top 5 pick) again
BlackSox13 replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Soria is very replaceable and depending on how one feels about Jones' health so is he. If teams are interested in either or both then by all means trade them if the offer is right. As for Rondon I would hold onto him and see how he performs between now and July 2019. He's young enough to possibly be a part of the next contender and take the place if Jones. Avilan, I'm kinda torn on because I do like his arm but he's a FA after '19 so trading him next month wouldn't be a bad idea. -
This^ Mix and match for the time being. Hopefully by September we'll have a better idea who sticks and where. But for now I'd like to see the Hulk in the lineup every day.
-
Rodon is still building up his innings, Giolito has had some short outings and Shields is, well Shields so having two long arms (Volstad/Santiago) in the pen makes alot of sense.
-
Yes he is. And Yolmer is Winger!
-
How many houses were placed on this 48 win bet?
-
Lopez, TA, Soria, Hulka... well done!
-
Just cal him Hulk because he Hulk smashes baseballs.
-
Fuck yeah Palka!!!!!!
-
Come on Palka!
-
I think Madrigal would be a great catcher!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Fucking hell is there are dark cloud over the bullpen and defense when Lopez comes out of a game? Thank you Fry for getting out if that jam!
-
This is irritating. Not going to learn to hit lefties by sitting on the bench.
-
Johan Cruz with his first homer of the season.
-
Lol, so what they're saying is that Betts and Martinez are surrounded by minor leaguers.

This might explain the increase in velocity.

This a great example of you never know. The Sox had seen something in Covey that nobody else did so they deserve some credit for sticking with him. IIRC, Arrieta was a late bloomer that didn't come around until the age of 27. This is why at laughed at a post or two I've seen about Stephens being 25 already. As if that's somehow old, lol.

If Lopez struggles I'm going to blame Narvaez and petition for Smith to start every game behind the plate.
-
Good points man. Examples would be Fulmer struggled while Covey stepped up. Another I speculate on is Shields eventually being moved or released and Stephens taking his place.
-
Why is Beck a surprise? He's the most logical choice to be DFA'd.
-
Dunning 6.2 5H 1ER 2BB 7K 99 pitches 71 strikes. ERA sitting at 3.22 after a little bit of a rough start to the season.

Jfc, the amount of armchair quarterbacking in here is unreal. Relax.
-
Great seeing Rodon back on the mound today. I think he pitched well for his first game back and against one of the best teams in the AL.
-
Yolmer!
