  1. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 03:57 PM) Wow, two Rons in the same thread saying the same thing over and over, and starting new threads once the first one dies... kinda makes you think... Hey JA, stop swinging at the outside breaking ball
  2. @twinkietown The Twins are reporting on the scoreboard here that Carlos Beltran has been traded to the Indians... Interesting for the Indians if true
  3. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 07:25 PM) That was a strike you crap ump That's the second worst this year. There was one earlier when Avila was catching. It was down the middle but he dropped it and the ump called it a ball.
  4. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 04:23 PM) Fulmer's had 2 bad games, I don't think it's fair to jump on the omgz he isn't ready bandwagon. He's had control issues much like in AA. It never made sense from the get go. I like getting a look at him but I think it'd be more beneficial to have him in AA starting considering that's what they want him to be. If he had better control, I wouldn't mind him in the pen for this season.
  5. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 07:12 PM) His 12 HR in 34 games that year was pretty cool though. At least he wasn't hurt the entire season and was productive when he did play. Ya I remember that.
  6. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 07:14 PM) Thank god Timmy ran through that sign. I can't believe McEwing held him up. Same. I'm like oh he's scoring easy, then I heard hawk say they're holding him at third. I said wtf?! Lol I knew he'd score with his speed when it got to the wall.
  7. That's what speed does. I knew once it got passed Zobrist, I knew he'd score.
  8. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 06:56 PM) That is why Frank Thomas sucks. 2 postseason series he hit .000. Take his plaque back Not to mention he didn't get to partake in 2005. That was why it was bittersweet for me.
  9. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 06:20 PM) I think he could bring back close to what Chapman got personally. Other than 3-4 outings, he's had a good season. Oh no no. He wouldn't get close to that. He's a good closer but you've saw that he's not on Chapman's level. If Robertson doesn't have command, he can't just blow it past guys at 103-105 mph. What he has going for him is control for a couple more seasons.
  10. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 06:13 PM) It better not be a salary dump. They should be able to get some good value from a contender for an established closer with a couple of years of control. Exactly. I wouldn't salary dump him because he's not an awful closer. He's overpaid but we at least have a closer who can close most nights. Just can't run him out there four consecutive days.
  11. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 05:47 PM) If the Sox stand pat again, I'm gonna be livid. I'll have mixed feelings but I don't want them giving away Sale or Q. I think they can move Robertson for certain. Sure seems like it. I'm hoping they move Melky and Frazier although if they're both here I won't care. I just don't want to see our two stud SPs given away when they're in such demand and they won't.
  12. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 11:25 AM) If I'm Hahn, I'm only using Texas for posturing. Agreed. I just don't see a match unless they throw in Mazara to headline. But as pure prospect package, Boston is at least enticing because they have two young studs in Moncada and Benintendi to headline it along with more depth with Devers and Kopech. I'm not a fan of Gallo for Sale or Quintana. Profar only has like 3 years of control due to his DL stints on the major league roster. Boston and LAs systems are the two I'd make deals with.
  13. I just used Tatis' name for reference because that's what we gave up for Shields. I don't know much about him.
  14. Yankees involved is great. Pushes Boston. Maybe they're just a ploy to get Boston to say f*** it and go all in for Sale
  15. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 11:15 AM) Welcome to rebuilding. If they start a rebuild, expect them to be god awful next year. If they went full rebuild, color me excited for something new with this organization. For me, It's fun following young prospects and watching how they develop.
  16. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 10:20 AM) Part Moancada, Benintendi, Devers and Swihart. Sale/Q's price alone covers the first three. Robertson could justify Swihart on his own with the current market. Then give them a starter to make get the trigger pulled. Likewise with Urias, Pederson, De Leon and someone like Montas or Verdugo. I'm curious what Boston has offered since its been reported that Urias is on the table for Sale.
  17. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 28, 2016 -> 09:35 AM) Too slow, SSS, too slow *bows down*
  18. I'm just not enthused with Texas top prospects we could get for Sale or Q. Boston or LA for me. Maybe Houston.
  19. Another player who I'm not sure has a lot of value but could still get a nice return. One year left after this on his deal and has a consistent bat.
  20. @JeffPassan Sources: Royals trying to package Ian Kennedy in a potential Wade Davis deal. Dodgers a strong match. Covet Davis and can take on Kennedy $.
  21. Not sure what kind of players they could pick off their major league squad since the link mentioned they don't want to part with top prospects. As for prospects, I'd take a Dominic Smith, Amed Rosario+ package.
