  1. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 07:42 PM) WHY trade now? If the Sox are out of it as so many of you suggest over and over and over again then why not wait till the off season and take your time. We arent under pressure to trade the contenders are. If they don't give us what we want then we dont trade The hope is to catch these contending teams in desperation.
  2. QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 06:55 PM) I'm assuming this is the Q trade thread... Just got the ESPN alert on my phone saying the Sox and Rangers are discussing a trade. Hmm...wonder why that would trigger an alert when I haven't gotten any other rumors yet. That's weird. Probably from earlier when there was something about the Rangers asking about Q
  3. The Wade Davis injury certainly will spark DRobs market.
  4. @JimBowden_ESPN Red Sox third base prospect Rafael Devers hits his 4th HR in 8 games in front of White Sox scouts... es.pn/2aoWJqJ
  5. Following via Twitter but sounds like the Bad News Sox are back. What makes this front office think going for it again is the right way?
  6. Benintendi wouldn't have a clue if he was traded until he was pulled or they told him after the game. It's probably an off day but let #HugWatch begin
  7. @Ken_Rosenthal Sources: #WhiteSox scouted #RedSox’s AAA, AA and High A affiliates last night. Sox “highly doubt” deal will occur due to asking price. Blanketing of #RedSox’s system by #WhiteSox was first mentioned by @pgammo. Some believe CWS simply laying groundwork for off-season trade.
  8. QUOTE (raBBit @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 12:32 PM) I think it's worth noting, I've heard in the past that Rangers' GM Jon Daniels is one of Hahn's "best friends" in the GM ranks. I almost think these Rangers drops we keep hearing could be plants in efforts to push attention away from Boston/LA. I am totally guessing on that though. That would make sense
  9. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 11:10 AM) It will be interesting to see what prevails in the next couple of days. Sound baseball decisions for improving the long term health of the organization, or decisions made to align with the timeline of the 80 year old owner. That 80 year old owner needs to realize he'll be "mired in mediocrity" if they don't sell and revamp this team. Now is the time with this market. Then hope next season Abreu rebounds and sell him at the deadline along with Frazier if he's not moved by the deadline.
  10. I think Hahn's comments a week ago were eye opening and truthful. I think they want to but it's whether the heavy contenders pony up the prospects for these two SPs.
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 10:28 AM) For those that don't know the area, Kentucky is quite literally the first exit south of the ballpark, and it is WAY cheaper to live in than Ohio. Being from Toledo, I drove through that many times. Had a detour and drove around the ballpark and back out. It's literally a hop, skip and a jump away.
  12. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 10:02 AM) So imagine for a minute you are a GM and Rick is saying both Sale and Q are available for the right package. You are the GM that ends up getting Q and moving your best prospect, while some other GM is going to land Sale. Sort of makes you want to chip in more to land Sale, doesn't it? That will make for a very interesting dynamic.... Especially a GM who is competing against that other GM. That's why I think Texas moves Mazara for Sale in a blockbuster deal.
  13. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 09:53 AM) If they deal both (really big if), I'm hoping one to Boston in a deal mostly centered for bats and then the other moved to the Dodgers in a deal centered around arms. I think it's Boston and Texas because they have the position prospects.
  14. It would be fun to see that speed at the top of the lineup with Eaton, Anderson and Moncada. Put them in whatever order. But Boston fans are delusional and just awful to talk to about prospects for our stud SPs.
  15. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jul 30, 2016 -> 08:35 AM) Peter Gammons‏ @pgammo Following Scott Lauber's story, word around Chisox Friday was that they had scouts at every Red Sox farm games last night I think Boston will budge. Either for Sale or Q. It's been way too quiet between those two and makes sense that Texas stuff came out yesterday and included names. I think Texas may be used as leverage. I do think those two land our SPs. Sale to Texas, Q to Boston. Just gut feeling I've had
  16. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 09:55 PM) How do you not blow this mess up? Owner
  17. Wish Pennywise would kidnap this offense
  18. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 09:54 PM) Kahnle had 7 strikeouts and 9 walks in 9.1 IP. Why put him in that game? Because Robin
  19. Why is Kahnle in and Ynoa never pitches? Kahnle is terribad
  20. Kahnle is the man you want in if you want this team to sell lol
  21. I'm done being mad over this s*** show. They're not changing until the front office changes the direction of this team.
  22. Rumors on Twitter spread faster than wildfires
  23. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 08:44 PM) Whatever the hell they did with Hansen's control, seems to be working. Man he's been impressive. This whole draft honestly. Could be a franchise changing draft. Way too early but the excitement is fun.
  24. I don't use snapchat so color me caught slipping lol
