QUOTE (Hatchetman @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 07:10 PM) Jim Bowden calls the White Sox "flat out losers." http://sportsmockery.com/2016/08/espn-anal...ox-flat-losers/ the video is toward the bottom. For the most part, he's right. I just wouldn't call them that for not trading Sale or Q. They're not going to give them away. His trade proposals a couple weeks ago were downright brutal. He said they're fair to both side. BS, the sox can't afford to be fair in trade talks with these two. They need to squeeze as much as possible this winter.

We'll see some waiver moves. Not that well get much

The usual reminder on board conduct...

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 12:55 PM) If someone tells me to go f*** myself, but I laugh when I read it, does it really count as a problem? I kid. u mods I'm sorry!! -
Let's keep this trade winds open for a couple more weeks in case of waiver claims.

QUOTE (SCCWS @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 07:16 PM) Actually heard an interesting discussion from a couple of Boston beat writers on their Trade Deadline Show. Tigers may be hurt by the Yankee fire sale. Boston has a lot of games w New York and the depleted Yankee roster will help Boston especially losing Chapman and Miller. Detroit may be the competition for the wildcard w the 2nd and 3rd eastern teams. Detroit needed the Sox to be sellers as well. They still have to face Sale and Q. We're not good in the division anyways though so who knows.

QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 06:57 PM) If he's still being a head case, I'd pass. Avi is cheaper and isn't a clubhouse cancer. This clubhouse is a disaster anyways. At least he has upside. Avi doesn't.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 06:44 PM) That really isn't a lot of money if you can get him anywhere close to his early time here. Would a change of scenery help? I don't know. I was hoping they'd make the move at the deadline and buy low on him. Then again I don't know what this brass is thinking. Maybe the Olney report was a leak drumming interest
-
f*** it why not? This team is already a disaster. Couldn't make it any worse. I hope he makes it to Chicago when he goes through waivers.
-
Here's to hoping the Red Sox fall apart due to pitching and get desperate in the offseason and trade Moncada and Benintendi ++ for Sale. It's what I'll hold onto to keep me from going insane.
-
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 05:43 PM) Ya but think of the strides we already made, now we're middle of the pack with some special talent. Pretty big turn around. That was just Hahn's PR spin to try and cover up those comments.

I'm going to root for the Red Sox to fall apart

QUOTE (soxforlife05 @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 05:39 PM) I don't fault them for not moving Sale/Q given what was rumored but seriously, why waste so much time entertaining Boston? Just tell them what you want with every team and tell them not to call back unless they are meeting your demands. Then turn your attention to moving guys like Melky, Robertson, Frazier, Shields, Gonzalez. I'm just going to chose to believe that this will work in the end. If I don't stay optimistic I'll be a sour f***er that gets banned and I don't want that. Trying not to lose it over this awful franchise now.

QUOTE (Deadpool @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 03:31 PM) It's literally nauseating. I'm in agreement. Sucks. I'm not mad they didn't get rid of Sale or Q, but mad that all they could manage to do is rid themselves of Duke. Why do that only? Now we don't have a good lefty out of an already shotty pen. Unless Tilson lights it on fire coming from a great organization, it's gona be pointless. God I wish I could fast forward a few months to see what they do. I'm just flabbergasted right now and extremely disappointed. Boston must really love their prospects. Wish we had some great ones. We suck and have a s*** farm system. Chicago Clown Sox
-
I just have to get over this disappointment. Glad Chiefs season is almost here. Help me ignore this s***ty franchise. Get this season over with and see what changes in the front office they make. Then see what direction they're taking. I'm afraid this team won't be good again until there's a new owner. Too much loyalty and patience for a franchise that's not been to a postseason since 2008. Just disgraceful that there's no sense of urgency or direction.
-
I'm fine with not moving Sale or Q. Don't get fleeced by DD because he usually does that to teams.
-
Hope this kid comes up and produces. But I'm just gona be the worn down Sox fan and guess he turns into s*** on defense and never develops his bat.
-
I'm not going to be interested again until the offseason starts. There needs to be wholesale changes. I can't fathom another half assed offseason. Good lord this front office is just an exercise in mental masturbation. I just don't think they were aggressive enough. We'll see how the season plays out and what changes to staff and moves they make personnel wise.
-
I don't need to listen to Hahn's drivel. f*** that incompetent clown.
-
"Mired in mediocrity" then only trades Zach Duke. Gutless franchise
-
QUOTE (hi8is @ Aug 1, 2016 -> 02:24 PM) Unacceptable to only trade one guy. Not surprising considering what front office were talking about. Time to take a break from this organization.
-
Why even trade Zach Duke? This organization sucks. I'm done until the offseason.
-
All they did was trade Zach Duke? Really? Woof. I'm done with this franchise until the offseason. On to football season. f*** this incompetent front office. Meanwhile the Yankees killed it.
-
Bummer. I get why they haven't moved them. Blow it all up in the offseason.
-
This isn't happening which we all thought in the end. I'm shocked no one got for Q.
-
We getting Puig?
