  1. Heads better roll. But then again, Jerry owns the team so it's a country club.
  2. After this latest Nightengale article, I couldn't care less. This organization should be ashamed and embarrassed.
  3. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 29, 2016 -> 01:25 PM) The team plays hard. The players seem to like playing for him. I don't think it's a must he return, I just don't think it's this huge deal, no chance to win thing if he's here. They did win 85 games in 2012 with him at the helm. Also choked down the stretch and have been terrible ever since.
  4. QUOTE (Dunt @ Sep 28, 2016 -> 10:19 PM) If you want an idea how the White Sox FO really feels about the fanbase, read that follow up Nightengale piece. f*** this organization. Yup. Haven't watched since the Tilson injury and haven't looked back until I saw this piece. Unbelievable it really is that I continue to hate this organization even more by the day. The fact that this is even a discussion is a disgrace. Love Robin as a player. Manager? He sucks but this organization has failed him countless times. It all starts at the top with that clown Jerry Reinsdorf. f*** him. This organization is starting to bring in better young talent but the top 3 (JR, Kenny and Hahn) is such a mess that it overshadows what's going on down the pipeline. I dare them to bring this clown back. The fact that Nightengale s*** on the fans in his piece tells me all I need to know about this organization and how they feel. They act like they're the damn Yankees or Red Sox. I'm disgusted with this organization.
  5. If the owner has to come out and say they're in sync then they're not. This organization is a f***ing mess and until JR steps up and gets rid of Kenny, I fear this losing will continue. Let Hahn do his thing and see what happens. I've always felt he's hamstrung by above. Pick a darn direction and all in with it.
  6. I went nuts when I heard his name called. This is who I wanted all along.
  7. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Aug 10, 2016 -> 05:22 PM) Here's my quick fix. Get Puig out of the Dodgers. The price should be cheap, but a lot of teams will think it's cheap, which may make it fairly expensive. Sign Jason Castro to a 1 year contract. Trade Lawrie for like a #4 rent-a- starter. Saladino's just as good, if not better. Re-sign Morneau. Pray that Fulmer and Buri can be effective bullpen pitchers. Not sure what to about CF. Need more pop than Jackson. Why in earth would you get rid of Lawrie? Let alone for a rental #4?
  8. For me, there is no go for it solution considering this team and its budget constraints. But I'll think about this and see what I can come up with. Off the top of my head we need a revamped beginning of the pen, CF if Engel isn't ready or Tilson isn't healthy, we need a starting catcher, 1B (move Abreu to DH). New coaching staff and Sale needs to see a shrink about his AL Central issues along with some anger management.
  9. QUOTE (southside hitman @ Aug 9, 2016 -> 09:26 AM) Adolfo now has homered in back-to-back games and has three bombs in his past five games. To put that in perspective, he only had five home runs over 68 games in 2014 and 2015. He has legit 40 homer potential, it is a GREAT sign it is starting to show in games. He needs development and most importantly health. He's been hurt a lot.
  10. Adolfo is showing more power. That's great to see.
  11. Over one start? Pssh whatever. I'll keep him in mine while I rebuild. He can teach my youngsters how to go about your business each day. If I'm rebuilding, I keep him. Use him as a mentor.
  12. QUOTE (hi8is @ Aug 7, 2016 -> 02:53 PM) Hahn on Fulmer's long term path as a starter or reliver.... http://mlb.com/r/article?ymd=20160807&...ws&c_id=cws I'm afraid they're f***ing this kid up. That's only happen if they kept bouncing him between the pen and rotation IMO. He pitched two innings today, didn't watch it. How did he look? He was starting to pitch well at AA before they called him up. He needs to go there next year and AAA to start games. He's a starter until proven otherwise.
  13. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Aug 6, 2016 -> 09:54 AM) Hahn was on with Levine and Esposito today. Tons of lawyer talk as always but a couple of things More suitors for their players in offseason Players on ML rosters available as well as 2016 draft picks Great deal of progress in INTL Scouting Praised Paddy and Hostetler and talked about the recent draft picks while noting the SSS As good as anyone at developing pitching Acknowledged that they were behind the 8 ball with developing position players but noted that they made some changes to correct this a few years back Mentioned guys like: Semien, Trayce, Micah, Phegley who aren't playing for them but allowed them to acquire guys that "could help" them from other organizations Deferred all questions about Robin and the staff to the offseason but it's pretty clear that he won't be back I wish they'd bring in a whole new coaching staff built around developing a rebuild. I think the position development is slowly coming around. Lastly, I hope they do a full rebuild.
  14. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Aug 5, 2016 -> 10:58 PM) Isn't this more of Cooper's responsibility? He may have outlived his effectiveness. It could be but there's no manager or pitching coach that could make Kahnle any better lol
  15. We'll see how he handles the promotion. I'd certainly put him up in the top 5.
  16. I don't really blast Robin for managing the pen right now. It's a disaster unless it's the 8th or 9th. His hands are tied.
  17. QUOTE (hi8is @ Aug 5, 2016 -> 10:07 PM) Though it seems like wishful thinking - a little birdie told me that it could actually happen. Really? I mean this is a business and JR's business is suffering. It's time to bring in fresh blood. A new GM that reports to JR directly. Then a new coaching staff that can develop players and coach them well. Rebuild this thing and we'll be back on track in a few seasons. That's the only way to be good for a period of time. Otherwise it's lightning in a bottle.
  18. This f***ing draft! Hansen is a boss. Wow. Collins, Burdi, Hansen. Future stud hitter, closer and ace.
  19. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Aug 5, 2016 -> 09:43 PM) Hahn has to be the worst GM the Sox ever had. He's getting there certainly. It's a shame because I like the guy. I've agreed with most of his moves they just haven't worked. It's getting to the point where I'm hoping they stood pat with the exception of the Duke trade because there's going to be sweeping changes. Wishful thinking but I'm hoping.
  20. I'm not getting rid of Avi at the end of the season. I want a new coaching staff and I want him at AAA working on approach and consistent new swing. We don't have to release him. He's young enough that he could be at AAA working on that and just hope he turns out to be a late bloomer like a JD Martinez.
  21. QUOTE (Dunt @ Aug 4, 2016 -> 08:55 PM) Burdi seems to be finding his stride He should be up not Fulmer
  22. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 5, 2016 -> 09:56 AM) He said the same thing a few days prior to the deadline. That simply cannot be true. No GM is that stupid. I agree. You simply can't even begin to offer anything if you're not negotiating those four
  23. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Aug 5, 2016 -> 08:41 AM) Yah that Adam Eaton trade...pure ass. I was talking about FAs not trades. I said earlier his trades have been fine so pay attention when you read.
