  1. He watches so many Sox hitters swinging at pitches in the dirt that he thinks the rest of the hitters in MLB are as dumb as Sox hitters, just dumber than dirt, no pun intended.
  2. Why was Katz hired in the first place, before he was hired by the Sox he spent 1 whole year in the Majors as the assistant pitching coach with the Giants but then why was Hahn hired?
  3. It’s doable, a lot of us remember the 1983 Sox who were 8 games under .500 at 16-24 in late May but after that they were just about unbeatable finishing at 99-63. The current team has the talent but I’m not sure if they are as good as the 83 team, best stretch of baseball I’ve ever seen the Sox play, first thing is they have to get everyone healthy and stay healthy and then to start to believe in themselves and play as a team, this little stretch they are on now gives us hope.
  4. We’d be on a nice roll with a 7 game winning streak if not for winnable games that we lost against the Reds on Saturday and especially the Twins last Thursday.
  5. Let’s take 3 of 4 in KC.
  6. Take him out, he doesn’t deserve the win.
  7. The Reds will make this game close.
  8. Must have been some Skyline Chilli.
  9. Rays won it in 10, 32,000 at the Trop.
  10. Yes, a fish rots from the head and JR is pretty rotten.
  11. I saw the video and it told us a lot, I wouldn’t be surprised if he is the problem and even a cancer on the team. I’m not sure about Jose being that much of a leader, if he was he sure didn’t help much last year or thought that things were too much out of control and not fixable thus his move to the Astros, based on what we have seen this year, he wouldn’t be wrong.
  12. That would be cool if Bobby Miller wound up with the Sox, he was a great pitcher up in McHenry but more important to me is that he is the grandson of my best friend growing up in Rogers Park, unfortunately he never got to see Bobby pitch as he had a bad time in Vietnam and came back a mess with PTSD and other problems and died about 20 years ago.
  13. This is about the only thing I agree on with JR.
  14. This all started under TLR, something went on that I guess we will never know the true story but it’s plain to see that something is amiss. My second favorite team as I live in Florida and watch most of their games are the Rays and the differences between the teams and the franchises are so far off it’s not even funny. The Rays bust their asses on every play while Sox players jog on ground balls and look like a bunch of losers and mopes. Rays players when they are called up from the minors are MLB ready while our guys like Colas and Sosa for some reason just can’t hack it. We all know that the White Sox farm system in recent years has been a joke and a failure, all part of Reinsdorf’s policy of refusing to spend big money on potential. The trouble is he won’t spend big money on bringing in the best free agents possible, instead we get Andrew Benintendi who I actually like but he would been more at home on the 50s and 60s White Sox. I really thought bringing in a new manager would change the mindset of these guys but it hasn’t, there is either some dissension still going on or we have weak minded players who just don’t give a f*** as they are getting paid big bucks whether they are 20 games over or 20 games under .500. Still a long way to go in the season but good teams would have won the Thursday game against the Twins or last nights game with the Reds.
  15. Only if it’s a certain size otherwise they go up the tract and snatch it and then you need a stent.
  16. My pain started in the tummy area and radiated around to my right side not quite to the back.
  17. Someone mentioned a kidney stone, I had one in 2017 and the pain is excruciating, worst pain ever and it took 12 days until I passed it, lost 5 pounds. They were ready to operate on me but I passed it the day before surgery, I felt like I was given a new life. If Eloy has one, my heart goes out to him. Appendicitis is no fun either, good buddy of mine was stricken with it a few years ago and he also was in agony.
  18. Yep, why is Benintendi batting 5th? Where’s Eloy?
  19. Good win and a good chance of a series win. To get back to .500 and better we can’t count on the Sox going on a 10 game winning streak, they need to concentrate on one game at a time and taking one series after another, doable but another stretch where they stink up the joint means it’s wait until next year.
  20. No, you have to forget it and take care of business in Cincy and KC and win those series.
  21. Seems like we have a lot of those, hard to believe we had all those chances to win the game and not one of those stiffs could come through with a hit.
  22. We don’t deserve to win this game.
  23. So that means that TA will be jogging on infield grounders.
