2-0, I was thinking worse, like 5-0.

Need at least a K, a DP would be better.

Sox truly mired in mediocrity
The 1973 mediocre Mets won 82 games, won the Division, won the playoff series and almost won the WS losing to the A’s in 7 games, right now I’d take that.

Sox truly mired in mediocrity
I miss the Go Go Sox years so much, from 1951 through 1967 the Sox were 380 games over .500. The W-L record was 1499-1119 for a .573 winning percentage. I did the homework awhile back and the only teams IIRC that won more games in those years were the Yankees and Dodgers.

Burger taking reps at 2B
Right now I’m leaning for Jake to take over at first base with Vaughn and Sheets platooning as DH. I was expecting big things from AV but he’s regressing and where the hell are the home runs from him.

5/25 Sox @ Tigers 5:40PM
We might have a second baseman.

Why did the downfall happen and could it have been avoided?
I watch most of the Rays games and intensity of the Rays players compared to to Sox players is huge, we have some guys that look like they’re going through the motions and seem like they would rather be somewhere else.

That's another k0pech white sox winner
Super outing again by Kopech, great to see. Sox make the most of 4 hits with 6 runs. On to Detroit for 4 games, need to win 3 of them.

5/24 Sox @ Guardians 12:10PM
Romy comes through again!

3 things: A terrible owner that has hired incompetents at the Major and Minor league levels including TLR. Dissension on the team with TA most likely the cause of it. Too many injuries.

Yep, Burger was pathetic with 5Ks and only able to foul off a couple of pitches.

Past time to get Anderson out of the top of the order
Anderson needs to shut his mouth and let his bat do the talking, I can see where his teammates might not be enamored with him and his inane statements like comparing himself to Jackie Robinson and saying he’s still the best player on the field.

Good AB by Romy.

5/23 Sox @ Guardians 5:10PM
Leaving those 2 runners in scoring position with no outs will probably come back a bite the Sox in the arse.

5/23 Sox @ Guardians 5:10PM
16 pitches in 2 innings, our guys don’t have a clue.
-
5/23 Sox @ Guardians 5:10PM
That was quick, I think 9 pitches.

We need a new lead off guy.

Aaron Hicks
Pass, no help there.

Burger to the outfield???
With AV struggling maybe he and Sheets should be platooned at DH. That frees up Burger to play first base which he should have no trouble handling. When Eloy comes back we are going to have to live with him in right field until Colas is truly ready, when that day comes I would try to trade Eloy, he can’t be counted on because of his history of injuries though I don’t blame him at all for the appendectomy he underwent.

Sox helping out the Guards with their practice catching pop ups.
