  1. Sox helping out the Guards with their practice catching pop ups.
  2. They could have come up with about a thousand better names.
  3. Why was Moncada jogging, and some wonder why a lot of us can’t stand his act.
  4. What year was it that the Twins came into Chicago and annihilated the Sox all 3 games in a weekend series?
  5. I attended a lot of sold out games in old Comiskey including the second game of the 1959 World Series, 1981 opening day and like I said that 1964 Sox-Cub game but the one that was unbelievable was the July 31, 1977 DH against the Royals with 50,000 on hand. The Sox pulled off a walk win in game 1 that IIRC put them up 6.5 games in the standings, never has anyone I truly believe experienced the noise and jubilation that afternoon, old Comiskey was actually shaking to the rafters as the noise was deafening, I’m pretty sure Lip was there also. Unfortunately we lost game 2 and failed to sweep the 4 game series, we cooled off in August and the Royals got hot as a pistol and won the division, still a summer not to forget as the Southside Hitmen gave us great memories and tons of excitement.
  6. I have never believed and never will believe that 55,000 figure, over inflated. I was at the 1964 Sox-Cubs annual Boys Benefit game and that’s the game they had fans standing on the warning track from dead center field to the right field foul pole and the announced attendance was just over 52,000. We sat in an aisle in the upper deck down the right field line and there was nowhere to move, I have no Idea how Comiskey could have accommodated 3,000 more fans. Why would Bill Veeck care about that crowd that day as I think he was living back in Maryland at the time as he sold the Sox a few years before in 1961 because of poor health.
  7. Why is Anderson jogging on DP balls, if he’s still hurt, sit his ass down.
  8. Trade TA and someway somehow pry Taylor Walls from the Rays. TB needs starting pitching, maybe Gio for Walls and a prospect.
  9. That team was just about unbeatable the last 4 months, then came the playoff against the Orioles.
  10. These guys just can’t get on a roll, is it possible that they aren’t that good.
  11. Umpiring in 2023 has reached a new low.
  12. 2 nice wins in a row, it’s time to get on an extended roll and get back in contention in a weak division.
  13. TLR was wrong to the nth degree, a real jerk on that issue and shouldn’t have been managing the team in the first place.
  14. Bad memories of Claudell Washington, my least favorite White Sox player ever though there is a guy on the current team that is coming close.
  15. Allen isn’t with us anymore either.
  16. Nellie Fox, Dick Allen, Frank Thomas and Paul Konerko.
  17. The more I looked at the video it seemed there was one more word than we thought what was said, what it was I don’t know. Either way there is no doubt that TA has an attitude problem and I’m pretty sure his teammates have a problem with him.
  18. Some excellent points, as you mentioned about the All Star game announcement, the silence that followed was deafening and told us there is a problem that teammates have with TA.
  19. Not sure what this is about, please elaborate.
  20. What more can we say that hasn’t been said, we are in for a long long summer.
  21. In this division, who knows.
