He looked pretty good at first base last night, Vargas at 3B, Monty at SS, Meidroth at 2B and Sosa at 1B works for me, stick with that infield the rest of the way. I also want Baldwin the rest of the way in LF and don’t want him at a different position every game. Benintendi has been a bust and isn’t the future, maybe they can put him on waivers and be willing to pick up part of his salary.
-
Have to remember that a lot of the Charlotte guys are now with the Sox, Quero, Teel, Meidroth and Monty just a few with leaving out pitchers.
-
Beni should be depressed because he’s been a bust and no one wants him and his salary. I agree on the 2 catchers but bring Lee up and let Quero and Teel continue to rotate at catcher and DH, by bringing up Lee they don’t have to worry about an injury in a game to whoever is catching and losing the DH. I also agree on Meidroth, he brings lot of intangibles to the game, for one thing he’s pretty damn smart. I can’t believe some want to give up on him after only playing for a little over 3 months in the Majors.

I don’t think Getz called down to the dugout and told Venable to pinch hit for Baldwin with Taylor who isn’t the future. Baldwin had a nice line drive hit and made 2 goods play and he’s replaced, something stinks. Stone was spot on in his remark.

This game is history.
-
Stone is 100% right on his take on what they’re doing with Baldwin, he should still be in the game, he needs the ABs. Sometimes I think Venable is an idiot.
-
Baldwin looks like he’s about 15 years old.

It’s excruciating watching the Sox when they’re in a hitting slump.
-
Lucky to get out of the inning with just the one run.

At least 25.

Well when you lose over 330 games in 3 years stuff like this is inevitable.

He’s regressing again, maybe it’s finally time to say goodbye and spend the money on some power hitting outfield corner players. He a great centerfielder and base stealer but are they enough to offset his inconsistency with the bat. I’m also very disappointed with Benintendi, I expected bigger and better things from him this year, we’re stuck with him unless we package him in a trade but with who is the question.

Civale didn’t full anyone in the first.

Me too.

Actually nowadays there are no bad stadiums except of course for Tropicana Field and the abomination in Oakland which is adios, just some stadiums are better than others with IMO PNC Park the best of them all, no goofy fake quirks, just a solid very nice looking ballpark with a great view of the Pittsburgh skyline. One other note, go to a site like Trip Advisor where real fans give their views on The Rate and other ballparks.

That’s about all he could get for Hauser.
-
It was a ball and huge bad call.

Came so close to sweeping the Tigers, hitting disappeared in 2 of the games, we scored more runs in the series.

Mead is no speed demon.

I have a lot of experience with aches and pains, 65 years of golf along with 25 years of tennis plus all the sports I played in my school years but I’m still able to tee it up 2-3 times a week and ride my bike.

I’m starting to believe that he knows what he’s doing, his biggest problem is he’s working for a cheap jerk. If he continues to improve, it will be interesting if Ishbia keeps him around.

Most of the reviews lately have it rated a bit higher, I saw one earlier in the year that had the Rate in the middle of the pack. There is no way it’s worse than the Trop, Anaheim Stadium, Rogers Center, Bank One and a few others. One other thing, some of the Retro stadiums are just plain phony with goofy unnatural quirks. Some of the parks of yesteryear built in the early 1900s had quirks that were real and were there because of the acreage they were built on, most of those old parks were built on city blocks that weren’t close to being square, they were more rectangle or worse thus the Green Monster in Fenway, high right field fences in Ebbets Field and Connie Mack Stadium, weird layout of Crosley Field which gave it the Moon Deck bleachers in right field, old Braves Field which had the Jury Box bleacher in right field, the Polo Grounds which was a much better Football stadium than Baseball, Griffith Stadium which had a jigsaw piece in center field because of two home owners who refused to sell their houses, the right field overhang in Tiger Stadium, Yankee Stadium with the short homer porch in right field and Forbes Field which was a mishmash and actually pretty ugly. I’m pretty sure old Comiskey was the only park that was built on land that was large enough that there were no quirks and with a fair symmetrical design, no cheap homers at the Palace, if you hit one over the fence, you earned it regardless of where you hit it.

He’s a bit hyper but he’ll settle down as he becomes more experienced. -

All these bad balls and strike calls are getting old. I’m ready for the electronic strike zone.
