  5. Sox now 3 less in the loss column.
  6. Shut him down.
  7. The next 16 games are huge and tough, we play the Astros for 3, Yankees for 4, Rays for 3, Red Sox for 3 and Guards for 3. If we can still be 7-8 games over after this spell I think we will make the playoffs, 2 of the keys are Mune and Colson, they need to start hitting homers again, I know Colson is streaky but he’s really in a funk right now. Whoever helped him last year when they sent him to Arizona in the middle of the season should be working with him now. The pitching except for Tuesday has been pretty good, the bullpen has really stepped it up, somehow we have to find another starter and a serviceable catcher. I’m not counting on Teel, they are saying up to 8 weeks before he’s back and with a rehab stint the season is just about over, I think they should shut the guy down and let him have the whole off-season to be 100% ready for 2027.
  8. Meidroth with a night.
  9. Mune has to get back on track.
  10. I don’t know where he would play but I miss Jake Burger.
  11. Could have been a lot worse, now lets add on to the lead.
  12. …..as he hits a guy and loads the bases up, need a DP.
  13. We could have busted it open there but not to be. Just hold them the rest of the way.
  14. So what does all this weight training do as all we see are more and more MLB players on the I L with leg injuries. Baseball is a game of agility and you aren’t going to be agile if you’re muscle bound, the muscles become too tight and you look like Charles Atlas. Teel probably went overboard with his weight training in the off season, back in my tennis days the trainer at my club in Wheaton believed in just toning up, not building up the muscles. In the old days of baseball we never saw hamstring pulls, all the teams wanted for players were to be in shape with running, stretching and calisthenics.
  15. He has had 20 homers each of the last 2 seasons.
