Don’t move to Florida, it’s hot from early May to early October, we never turn the AC off during that period and sometimes it’s longer but I’m out there playing golf and bike riding, heat index today was only 101.
That was a huge mistake in the UD with the concourse at the same level as the first row especially when the the park opened and it was 29 rows. Just horrible, I'm sure it was a cost cutting measure.
The upper deck isn’t that bad especially after lopping off 8 rows in 2004 along with a cozier roof, it’s no worse than a lot of the other new retro parks. If there was one less tier of suites it would be just about ideal.
If ticket prices went up, they didn’t go up much, we could go to Sox or Cubs game in the late 1950s for a dollar for an unreserved grandstand seat and 75 cents to sit in the bleachers.
Kids paid 10 cents for a bus or L ride to the ballparks.
At some the point high ticket prices along with the prices of everything else at the ballparks will reach a point where fans will say enough is enough, this just might be what is going on in St. Louis and other small market clubs.
He can get that OPS up to where it should be in the .800 range by taking some walks, only 13 so far this with 81Ks. For comparison Tauchman has the same BA as Sosa but his OPS is .814 because he’s had 33 walks.
