  1. s%*# happens but I’ll never change my feelings on Moncada.
  2. My least favorite White Sox player of all time. A complete waste of talent, no emotion, always hurt, seemed like he just didn’t care.
  3. Did Yoan Moncada ever do anything like this?
  4. Good point, not too many pitchers can win 20 games anymore, I doubt if we will ever see a pitcher with 300 career wins ever again, 200 will probably be tough.
  5. A good argument can be made for both unfortunately it breaks my heart but for some reason Pierce just doesn’t get the support he should from the committees that vote on HOF induction, he was every bit as good as Whitey Ford and only Warren Spahn and Early Wynn won more games in the 1950s.
  6. I did some homework on Baseball Reference and AI was wrong about the year, the correct year was 1957 with the Sox on the road from June 18 to July 4th, 20 games in 20 days, record was 9-11, some off days but 3 double headers, visited every city in the A. L. except Cleveland.
  7. Meidroth is one smart player, he can beat you with the bat and glove but he also has something else that other players don’t, it’s called intangibles.
  8. The Rays have big troubles ahead, because the Florida rainy season is from June to October they had way more home games than usual in April and May. August and September will see them on the road most of the time, they have a 2 week 12 game west coast road trip coming up soon which is unheard of in this day and age. Back in the 50s, 2 week road trip were the norm. I remember in 1958 in middle of the summer the Sox had a 3 week road trip for the installation of the new press box at old Comiskey visiting the cities of 6 out of their 7 opponents in the American League. From AI……The Chicago White Sox had a road trip in 1958 during which renovations took place at Comiskey Park, including work on the press box. The renovations involved the installation of a new press box with innovative features like windows that could be hoisted into the ceiling for an open-air experience. This remodel of the Comiskey Park press box in 1958 was considered quite innovative for the time.
  9. I was hoping they’d bring him up earlier but now I’m seeing that the Sox were probably right that he might be a man without a position.
  10. Damn, we’ve had a lot of very hard hit line drives this series that have been caught with right at ems or great catches.
  11. Quero needs to be out there most of the time with Lee the backup. Teach Teel to play 1B and Vargas back to 3B.
  12. If you’re not going to have a Chicago style hot dog you might as well have a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich.
  13. I’ve always liked Josh Lowe but he’s spent a lot of time on the IL in his career.
