The new owner is from Jacksonville and wants a new stadium in Tampa. I agree coming from SW Florida to the Trop on I-75 and the Skyway Bridge was always an easy 90 minutes door to door, If they build a new stadium near Amalie it would add on another half hour to the trip.

The new owner wants a new stadium in the Tampa Channelside district near Amalie arena, the Rays would draw much better there than they do in St. Pete. The Lightning at Amalie are on a streak of over 500 straight sellouts. Most of the population of TB is centered in the Tampa area and northern suburbs, it’s a real trek for all those fans to get to St. Pete and the Trop. It’s also hard for fans who live east of the Bay itself as they have to drive way out of the way south and then back north to cross over on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.

Real feel right now in Port Charlotte is 109, don’t ever remember being that high, actual temp is 95.

It’s because of the afternoon showers, someone figured that most of the time they move out around 7ish. Funny thing here in Port Charlotte, we haven’t had a drop of rain the last 4 days, very unusual here in Florida during rainy season. .

Pretty sure it is because they were as bad in April of this year as they were last year and it's been a long climb just to get to .350.

Not sure what to expect against the Rays, will the Sox continue to swing hot bats or will the Rays with better pitching shut us down. We usually attend a Sox-Rays game if there’s a day game in the mix, not so this year plus with the Rays playing in Tampa this year it makes the trip 30+ minutes longer, it’s very easy for us to get to the Trop but not so Steinbrenner Field.

How sweep it is, on to Tampa where things will be tougher but the Rays went into a funk after knocking on the door of first place, they’re fighting for a WC spot.

Vargas is doing well at first, I would try Sosa at 3B, I thought he did OK there last year.
