I guess we will never know but when Comiskey Park had a sell out crowd, to me it was like no other ballpark, probably because it was almost completely double decked and it held in the crowd noise so well. Someone wrote awhile back that Wrigley Field yayed but Comiskey Park roared.

The thing is if 52,000+ were at the 1964 game and fans were standing on the field, how did Comiskey squeeze 55,555 in for the 1973 DH, I’ve always questioned that 55,555 number.

I attended the 1964 Sox-Cubs game with my girlfriend, overflow crowd and we wound up sitting in an aisle in the upper deck down the right field line. There was nowhere to move as the place was literally packed to the rafters.

I’ve been a big Meidroth fan but after yesterday’s performance I’m wondering if Antonacci should take over 2B. Chase looked like he had no clue at the plate, we should have won that game in the bottom of the 10th if he came through with a hit but there were other bad moments too with Colson’s error and Rock walking in a run.

Tough loss but they never quit. At least we came back from the miserable series in Motown and won the series. Get some rest and win 2 or 3 from KC.
