Sox at Angels 8:38 CDT 8/1
I’ve been a Beni fan since he’s been here, his first year was bad because of a pretty banged up wrist. The last year and so far this year he’s about what I expected which is fair this day and age for his contract.

Since the All Star game these guys have been scary good, IMHO the future looks pretty damn good and I will repeat, sign some quality free agents this off-season and they can compete for a WC spot next year.

That’s why they call them the bleachers, I remember sitting in the bleachers at Wrigley when I was a kid (75 cents) and it could get nasty, never heard of sunscreen in those days.

I’ve been to Anaheim stadium for 4 games going back to 1975 when it was as bland as the new Comiskey was before the make over starting in 2003. Never saw a game in the years they double decked the whole place to accommodate the Rams. When the Rams left they did a nice make over and it’s a pleasant place to watch a game and of course it never rains. I wore Sox jerseys and caps to the games and no one ever made a nasty comment.

Don't break it ALL down. Go for 63!!!!!
I also believe it’s important to win, the culture of losing (mainly because of JR) must come to an end. You can see that the kids want to win. I agree on Tauchman, I didn’t know much about him but this year he has been the consummate professional and I’ve said it all year that he’s a great guy along with Beni to have around with helping the kids on how to play the game.

Like I said, if JR decides to spend some money, it’s very possible that they could contend, the kids have given us a pretty nice nucleus to build on.

Just back from a cruise, nice series against the Phillies and probably should have won 2 games in the Cubs series. if JR decided all at once to spend a few bucks on 2 or 3 free agents, I think the Sox could contend for a Wild Card in 2026. Right now the Pythagorean stat has this years White Sox at 47-62 which is sort of amazing after how bad this team was in 2024. I’m not sure what to think of Getz deciding to keep Robert, the positive side of me has me thinking the Luis has finally figured things out and at 27 years old will wind up with a decent 2025 and becomes a superstar next year as the Sox become a competitive club. The negative side of me has me thinking that Robert will probably wind up on the IL while reverting to what we have seen the last year and a half. There’s also the possibility that Robert has an insane last 2 months with the bat and during the off season teams will be lined up with over the top offers for Robert.

Buehrle should be in the Hall of Fame
Exactly on the people who do the voting, especially when it comes to pitching, there are a lot of pitchers in the HOF who have records not as good as Buehrle and Pierce.

Teel's 1st Homer
s%*# happens but I’ll never change my feelings on Moncada.
-
Teel's 1st Homer
My least favorite White Sox player of all time. A complete waste of talent, no emotion, always hurt, seemed like he just didn’t care.

Teel's 1st Homer
Did Yoan Moncada ever do anything like this?

Buehrle should be in the Hall of Fame
Good point, not too many pitchers can win 20 games anymore, I doubt if we will ever see a pitcher with 300 career wins ever again, 200 will probably be tough.

Buehrle should be in the Hall of Fame
A good argument can be made for both unfortunately it breaks my heart but for some reason Pierce just doesn’t get the support he should from the committees that vote on HOF induction, he was every bit as good as Whitey Ford and only Warren Spahn and Early Wynn won more games in the 1950s.
