  1. As I said earlier, Crochet and Robert if he can stay healthy are guys you want to build around, the key is JR having an epiphany and for a change spending some money.
  2. The Carmines ( Bruins and Pats too) and their fans (obnoxious people) have been unlikable for decades, they should give Boston and Plymouth Rock back to the British Empire.
  3. I thought about that but wasn’t sure and we were heading out to breakfast at our favorite diner.
  4. Works for me but not JR’s miserly ways.
  5. 4 homers by Robert since he’s back, he and Crochet are the guys you should build around, not trade, the only thing is Robert can’t stay on the field. The Sox should hire the best personal trainer they can find for Robert, I’d also probably move him to right field so he wouldn’t have to cover so much ground.
  6. The thing that scares me is can Getz get fair value for the guys that we can trade and someone wants, honestly I have no faith in Getz to accomplish that feat.
  7. I’m glad someone sees light at the end of the tunnel.
  8. The Cubs tried something like this in the early 60s when they instituted the College of Coaches, they rotated the coaches who were on the big club for about a month or so, this went on for 2 years and was a real fiasco but so were the Cubs in those days.
  9. What so important about 10 days, shitcan this clown today.
  10. One of the reasons JR must sell, he doesn’t believe in spending money on the minor league teams but he also won’t bring in top free agents so here we are, the worst team in baseball and maybe one of the worst of all time.
  11. Yes, that works for me, JR must open up the checkbook but first thing is that Getz and Grifol must go before anything else is done, bring in an experienced GM who knows how to put together a baseball team and a farm system with the best scouts, managers and coaches.
  12. Besides Robert and Crochet who would want anyone else on this joke of a team.
  13. Something drastic needs to be done like maybe dissolving the franchise.
  14. Yep, JR has destroyed the franchise with his greed and antiquated methods of running the organization, the jerk still thinks it’s 1983.
  15. I agree, even though Grifol is a terrible manager and I hope his days are numbered, the biggest problem as you said is the lack of talent, this team is made up of other teams rejects, not so good AAA players and so called ML players like Vaughn and Benintendi who are under-performing miserably. We probably would have a few more wins with another manager but this bunch would still be the worst team in MLB. We also have to look at Getz, he actually thought he had put together a competitive team, all winter long I kept saying to myself “what is this guy up to” as he brought in nothing by rejects.
  16. Whatever is going on it’s going to be a monumental undertaking to get the White Sox back to respectability. The only hope right now is that the AA Birmingham Barons are having a great year and eventually there might be some help on the way but the most important thing that is needed in new ownership.
  17. Jimmy Landis and Ken Berry were the best White Sox Centerfielders of all time, Landis won 5 Gold Gloves, Berry won 2. Before my time, the word is Mike Kreevich was also very good and was Gold Glove caliber.
  18. Grifol isn’t being held accountable because we have a GM that is as inexperienced and incompetent as his manager and probably has no idea when Grifol screws up.
  19. Yeah, good organizations call up players that contribute but not the Sad Sox.
  20. The Sox keep arranging deck chairs on the Titanic, besides the horrible record everything else is a disaster, do any of these call-ups ever work out, what a clown show.
  21. I expected exactly what he’s giving us, some power with a decent OPS, low BA along with decent fielding.
  22. This might be his last chance, he wasn’t tearing up things at Charlotte and he went 0 for 4 yesterday.
  23. Living in Florida it would still bother me if the Sox left Chicago, that’s the place I grew up and spent the first 48 years of my life in with a great childhood and wonderful memories especially with the White Sox.
