  1. Sounds like they send Danks down to get regular ABs so he can play more when a few of these guys walk the plank in the next few weeks.
  2. Don't expect an all-star. Expect a solid player who should be better than Flowers in nearly every area, once he settles in and relaxes. At least the passed balls should slow down. With fewer Ks.
  3. DeMichele celebrates Micah's arrival -- and his move to SS -- with three Ks and two errors.
  4. And also terrible at blocking pitches in the dirt. Despite all the BS about Sox pitchers preferring to throw to him, Flowers is not a starting catcher in the big leagues, at least not more than a part-time guy.
  5. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 5, 2013 -> 12:52 AM) Thompson's not ready yet. Guess Trayce is just frustrated with his current 1/21 slide, and maybe not making the SL All-Star team. He was getting under everything last night, popping up pitches into the air. But Trayce is going to Charlotte, along with Herbek. Trayce To Charlotte official? Wonder what the other Sox moves are? Finally some fun.
  6. The story by Dan Hayes at CSN says 3 more moves are coming. Said that Jordan Danks was returned to Charlotte and Gimenez DFA. Wonder if Trayce Thompson is also coming up? Regime change!!! Here is the link: http://www.csnchicago.com/white-sox-talk/w...rospect-phegley
  7. Micah playing second base for Winston-Salem as DeMichele moves to SS. can he play SS?
  8. Be interesting to see where they play Micah Johnson Saturday. Should be lots of movement throughout the system over the next month. Bring it on.
  9. QUOTE (danman31 @ Jul 3, 2013 -> 03:30 AM) Yeah, quietly he's been on a roll lately. It might be time to think about him getting a shot in the bigs sometime this year. I expect Rienzo will be seen in Chicago after a few pitchers are seen on departing flights.
  10. QUOTE (danman31 @ Jul 3, 2013 -> 03:43 AM) Take it easy on Micah. He's having a great year, yes, but he's 22 and in Low-A. agree. And his glove is an issue.
  11. hard to imagine he's 100 percent and sitting back to back games.
  12. in other words, we'd better trade for some prospects because the only guys on that list who might possibly help next season are Phegley and (maybe) Thompson. We're a long way away in the infield.
  13. Is Goldberg the Ohio State guy? Is Micah just resting?
  14. no doubt on Crain and Thornton. not going to bring a ton in return, but it's time for a change.
  15. Crain. but what happens if he is named to the team -- and then traded before the game? Would the Sox be shutout? Seems fitting for this season?
  16. John Fay, beat writer for the Cincinnati Enquirer, had something on Twitter today about the Reds being interested in Crain.
  17. Dollar Hot dog night -- 3 in a row -- coming up. They're going to have to pay people $10 to come and eat a hot dog by September to get people into the ball park. Need to do something dramatic just to change the narrative because 90 percent of the fans have already tuned out -- and those of us who care are annoyed beyond belief. Terrible place for any franchise to be. Thanks again, Kenny Williams. You left a helluva mess.
  18. Micah news a stiffer challenge. And maybe a move to the outfield. Can't have all those errors.
  19. Drafting Jack McDowell, Robin Ventura, Frank Thomas and Alex Fernandez back to back to back to back certainly turned out much better than blowing money on Adam Dunn, Jack Peavy, Albert Belle, Jaime Navarro and a few others I could name. Other than Beckham (8), those guys were the last Top 10 picks the Sox have had since 1987. I'll take the second or third pick in the draft (as long as Kenny Williams has no say over the pick) and run with it.
  20. Oh, no. Not, Oh,Mo. Where is he going? Back to Terre Haute?
  21. Johnson exits after seven innings. three hits, one walk, two runs, one earned. Maybe they'll trade him for Edwin Jackson.
  22. 1-2-3 for Johnson in the seventh. He's about to get his first AAA win.
  23. No problem. Johnson looks pretty polished and poised on the mound. Did a good job of covering first base twice. Looks a little thick in lower body, but that's nit-picking. He's coming out for the seventh inning. After watching Cleveland score 14 runs, couldn't watch any more. Decided it was healthier to watch the future.
  24. Phegley home run to left field.
  25. At the Charlotte game in person. Wilkins homer was a line drive to the right field corner. Sanchez has a double and a single. Erik Johnson has been excellent -- consistent 92-93 FB, hard breaking ball. Just three hits and only one walk in six complete. 86 pitches, 60 strikes. Pounding the zone.
