This also may be the prelude to a much wider competition for roster spots. With no Vaughn, Ramos is no longer blocked. Colson is one short Vinnie Capra DFA away. Teel is a real possibility. Should be an interesting couple of months.

Your 1b rotation appears to be Sosa and Vargas with Rojas everyday at 2b/3b and Vinnie Capra as your key reserve. Palacios is an everyday player with Tauchman and Slater platooning mostly and Benintendi as the fulltime DH. Okay.

This team could also get better. The bullpen has blown 8 of 12 save opportunities. That is crazy. It is possible they bring up guys like Pallette, Coffey, Wikelman, and *shudder* Grant Taylor *shudder* and suddenly have a reasonable bullpen. That would change their inability to win one-run games significantly.

Yeah, but last year’s team put up two significant losing streaks that started right about now and the ramped Crochet down, and traded Fedde. Truly an historic season.

They're considering it right now. Taylor's stuff is overwhelming AA hitters. If you're no making him a starter, Taylor could come up now. I'm against t, but that seems to be what's happening.

Kinda rough to see a guy with that ability throwing 11 pitches in an outing.

This is the outcome I was hoping for with Colson. I thought they should send him to AZ to figure out both swing and approach. Hope he keeps it up. Nice to see Zavala hitting it hard as well.
