They play the song so much on the radio, it's kind of hard to get away from it. The biting social commentary kinda loses it's steam when played ad nauseam. Plus from my POV they're not really saying anything new. Yeah people in LA are egomaniacs, they're superficial, blah blah blah. Tell me something I don't know. I also don't like the singers voice

I really hate that Los Angeles is burning song. It seems to be a very trendy thing to do now, trash LA, especially if you live there. If you guys don't like it leave, we don't want you here. How could hell be any worse? Of it could be A LOT worse But seriously though I don't like that song.

HAHA I've never heard anyone put that kind of s***ty music like that. A perfect description. Damn popular music is terrible nowadays....

I'm keeping this thread alive again......SHOCKING. This isn't much of a "CD" recommendation as it is a couple of mp3's This is a local band called Nural. They are not usually what I listen to but they play so many shows with the local metal bands around here I've come to dig them. They have a sort of Incubus/Thrice like emo-y sound. I'm sure some people on this board like that kind of music. I certainly enjoy them and we all know how great my musically taste is. Be sure to give them a listen and if you like they're playing a show in Chicago in November. mp3's Here Band Website Here

Sorry if this has already been posted, but Has anyone else hear this?. It's basically Shingo talking through his interpreter about crap you can get on Yahoo! he mentions he has a collection of snow globes from the cities he's been too. I can't imagine this is only a California ad.

Eh it was a s***ty season anyways. And if you want to know who won it says on the nbc page.

I was looking at the playoff schedule for today and it says both games are on at 8 EST on FOX. That's a major gaffe by FOX if that's true. Is one of the games gonna be on FX or something whats the deal? Is it a mistake I'm reading?

"I will always feel like I'm a White Sox." -Robin Ventura A nice article about Robin on CS.com: Here That quote is part of the article towards the end when he was asked about accepting a coaching position.

The last time I actually looked forward to the Simpsons and would actually laugh out loud numerous times was around season 8-9. Since then it's just been blah. I'll occasionally laugh, maybe one or two episodes per season we're actually quality. Not to many "memorable" episodes, as far as Simpsons memorable episodes go. I've made this statement before and I'll say it again: Family Guy during it's first run ('99-'02) > Simpsons during '99-'02 I'd be willing to bet when FG comes back it'll still be better. Another thing during the last 4 or 5 seasons of The Simpsons, I would look more forward to the new King of the Hill's and Futurama's on Sundays.

I remember I used to be excited about The Simpsons new season season, now I really could take it or leave it. I'm a lot more excited for the new season of Arrested Development, the debut of American Dad, and the Return of Family Guy than the Simpsons returning.

WOW! What an ending. Down 3-0 in the bottom of the 9th, tie it up 3-3. Finley hits a walk off grand slam.

That Bonnie Berstein "2 Dicks" thing is still hilarious, I remember watching the Bears game when that happened. Good stuff.

the Dillinger Escape Plan - "Miss Machine" INSANE. That is the only word I can use to describe these guys, and I can use it any times. Insane Music. Insanly talented musicians. Insane performers. If you can open your eyes and get past the type of music they're playing no one with any knowledge of music can deny the talent they have. A couple of different influences on this album, lots of Mike Patton and some Nine Inch Nails, heavily, especially on the track "Phone Home". Has some good "poppy-er" stuff if you want to call it that on the tracks "Unretrofied" and "Setting Fire to Sleeping Giants" Go Here for some sample mp3's in the Discography section under the Miss Machine Album. Has the tracks "Panasonic Youth" and "Baby's First Coffin" both on the INSANEside. And if you're brave click on the Calculating Infinity link(3rd album down) and download "43% Burnt"

Didn't feel a thing.

I was hoping that part of that press release would have said "effective immediately"

Highly reccomend it. It was hilarious, one of the funniest movies I've seen this year. The fact that it was a Zombie Romantic Comedy alone got me to go see it, and I'm glad I did. I had no voice from a concert the night before but I still went to see it, now that's commitment Anybody else see it?

Okay so these two things we know: 1.) The current Sox team(s) has a tendency to swing for the fences. 2.) The combonation of the Fences being moved in and the upper deck getting shortened have turned the Cell into a lauching pad, a Coors Field east. But what I want to know is what is it more, guys stupidly swinging for the fences or the way the ballpark is now that is causing out 'O' to become a slugging machine? What I also want to know is if the Sox assembled a team of guys that tend to only have HR numbers in the low teens or even single digits would they all of the sudden start hitting balls out of the yard once you realize their gap doubles are now going over the fence? I know Ozzie wants some contact guys and play small ball and KW says he does too. But, what they need to get are contact hitters that know there place and won't get an inflated head. Is the way the ballpark in constructed now going to always have a say in what happens to the White Sox until they leave US Cellular Field? Do they have no chioce anymore? Are the Sox going to become the Rockies in that they'll have a home run hitting offense but the pitching will get rocked? I'd like to hear some other opinions on this matter...
