QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jan 12, 2005 -> 10:39 AM) I just saw an ad on MTV for the Ashlee Simpson show, premiering Jan 26th on MTV She just won't go away... You do know that it's not just a premier right? It's a season remier, meaning there was already a season of it, this is season two. All the sheep watching the first season is why her album went triple f***ing platinum or whatever. Sheep! BAAAAAAAAA!! I'll probably watch it to see the SNL stuff, though I'm sure it will be heavily edited. I hope they got the Orange Bowl stuff on camera too.

I was just flipping through the channels and stopped on the George Lopez Show and George was wearing a Luis Aparicio Jersey. Thought that was kind of cool. Just a heads up

I'll never understand those kind of rules. What does having long hair or tattoos or piercings have anything to do with how you perform your job or task? Whatever. The one I really don't get is no facial hair except for mustaches. If I could actually grow any sort of facial hair and had a job that had those rules, I would just grow out a long handle bar mustache.

The people's choice awards suck anyway. Will & Grace beat out Scrubs and Arrested Development for favorite TV Comedy. That's some real bulls***.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 10, 2005 -> 07:34 PM) Man has it been pouring out here lately. I don't think I can ever remember this much rain in SoCal. Hell, I don't think El Nino was like this. Its basically been pouring or sprinkling all times today. Were already at 3 to 4 inches on the day and I think it will be even more. Now its time for some snow Has it been pretty bad down in LA too? I'm loving it. It seems like it's been raining for like 2 weeks straight. I don't know how many inches but it's been like this all day. It's f***ing up all the roads around here too and in Hollywood. Lights are out, roads backed up. It's madness. Now bring on that f***ing snow!!!

QUOTE(shagar69 @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 11:39 PM) damn do you know y CHAPPELLE'S SHOW (Comedy Central) - The cable channel has opted to delay the show's third season premiere, originally set for February 16, due to health problems regarding star Dave Chappelle, including flu and borderline walking pneumonia. It's understood the producers are now targeting a March or April premiere for the new season.

QUOTE(shagar69 @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 11:15 PM) speakin of premieres does anybody know when the new season of Chappelles show starts It's been pushed back to March or April

QUOTE(winodj @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 04:54 PM) All I know about "24" is this dude is now going on three days without sleeping, eating or pooping. He's some super dude or something. The first 3 seasons of 24 have not been 3 days in a row. It's been 3 days over the course of a few years. Season 2 starts 18 months after Season one. Season 3, three years after season 2. And this new season starts another 18 months after season 3.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 07:26 AM) For me, it's the televised fishing or the peanut butter & jelly bit. "'Blasting Zone Ahead', shouldn't that sign read: Road Closed?"

As a contrast to the other Best Songs thread For me it has to be Louis XIV "Finding Out True Love Is Blind" HOLY GOD is that one baaaaaaaaaaad. It has the 3 main components of a real stinker: 1.) Dumb lyrics 2.) Uninspired musical arrangment 3.) Horrendously voiced lead singer. Just a awful voice, AWFUL. God that song sucks :puke :puke :puke :puke

QUOTE(The Critic @ Jan 9, 2005 -> 06:30 AM) HICKS Rock Regan Cross Kinison Dennis Miller was very funny in his day, but his day is pretty much long gone. I enjoy Denis Leary a lot, but I wouldn't really put him in my top 5. Chappelle's Show is great, but I don't really enjoy him as a standup. Looking at my own list, I have to ask MYSELF how the cleanest comic alive, Brian Regan, got on my list with those other four??? Answer? Regan makes me giggle like an idiot every time I see him! Brian Regan is pretty damn funny, I agree. I loved his "Wanna go halves on a pie?" bit. That one always cracks me up,

QUOTE(CubKilla @ Jan 8, 2005 -> 09:13 AM) There is a song played late on 94.7 by a group called "Lamb of God" that just f***ing shreds although I don't know the title. Everytime I hear this song, it's a must crank up the volume type tune They are one of the top metal acts out there, it's about damn time you heard of them. I'm sure the track you're hearing is either "The Faded Line" or "Laid to Rest" off of the album Ashes of the Wake. They have 3 albums that are all heavy as hell, I suggest you get them

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jan 7, 2005 -> 12:40 PM) http://www.thewebs***e.net/nickelback.htm Wherever did you find that link? As for me I just rekindled my love affair with God Forbid's "Gone Forever" album. But if you want a specific song of that album, it would be "Judge the Blood". What a f***ing way to end an album

QUOTE(AssHatSoxFan @ Jan 7, 2005 -> 04:59 PM) It just means its going to be an extra large game You just know the promotional tie ins will be there. "Extra Large drink for Super Bowl XL!!!"

I just realized that next years Super Bowl is gonna be Super Bowl XL. That's gonna be weird to get used to. Up until now We've only seen super bowls with X's, I's, and V's. Yeah, I'm bored... This has been your trivial fact of the day.

I doubt there are many fans of them here, or at least I hope not, but this is pretty f***ing funny: http://www.thewebs***e.net/nickelback.htm

Yankee payroll increased every year since 2000, and not a championship. Gotta love it.
