  1. QUOTE(3E8 @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 01:47 PM) did hawk just call him 24? he's done it a bunch of times. According to the Sox homepage he's only 21. I wonder if BMac was afraid to correct him or something

    Dane Cook's Tourgasm

If you're anywhere near these college's and you don't go, you are stupid. http://www.tourgasm.com/ Just spreading the word people...
  3. Also is Mackowiak a White Sox fan from his youth? His player page says he was born in Oak Lawn. I thought I remembered hearing he may have been a Sox fan.
  4. QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 12:37 PM) Eh.. sorry. I was trying to be funny. Just bustin chops And technically, Ashlee the person is closer to me than Wrigley Field is...
  5. QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 12:22 PM) No need to look that far.. not when Wrigley is so close. Well I was just going with the music example
  6. QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Mar 9, 2005 -> 12:09 PM) As my paternal grandmother once told me -- Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups. Case in point, Miss Ashlee Simpson
  7. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb...an.jsp?c_id=cws For people who want to see the new members of the Sox in the Black and White. Plus, I'll give a million cool points to whoever can tell me what's the same about the pages of these players: Honel, Reynoso, Smith, Tracey, Lopez, Rogowski. (Here's a hint, look at the pics)
  8. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Mar 6, 2005 -> 09:19 PM) Its nice to see something uplifting instead of people fueding over a million bucks or some sort of contract on a reality show. It is and it isn't. I mean if you're one of the prospective familes you have to hope your situation is deemed desparate enough by executives, to have ABC capitalize on it. Hope s***ty must you feel if you're one of the 10's of thousands of familes that missed the cut. "Oh we're sorry, you guys aren't in bad enough shape for our liking" Ouch.
  9. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Mar 6, 2005 -> 08:07 PM) Opinions vary...... not all of us can be as cool as you, so throw us a bone and allow us to have a losers thread once in awhile without spoiling it with your coolness. You're right, I do tend to spoil things with my coolness, it is my one fault. It's not just about this one reality show, it's all of them. I doubt that you love ALL reality shows (at least I hope not) In my opinion, the worst scripted show is better than the best reality show. Because these shows aren't "reality", and at least it took some talent to write/act in Half and Half or whatever UPN show is the worst. It takes no talent to be on a "reality" show. I'll never understand the appeal of reality shows....hopefully people will realize just how dumb these shows are and stop watching and they'll go away forever.
  10. QUOTE(He_Gawn @ Mar 6, 2005 -> 06:13 PM) Hmm, your wrong, this show friggin owns. Yeah I'll pass. It owns nothing. Check out some of these comments, gotta love the JTS: http://www.jumptheshark.com/e/extrememakeoverhomeedition.htm
  11. I don't know if I hate the show more because it sucks, which it does, like every reality TV show, or the fact that it KILLS a quality show like Arrested Development in the ratings every damn time. :banghead
  12. QUOTE(Brian @ Mar 5, 2005 -> 08:31 PM) Agreed 100%. Looks like he started on the bratwursts soon after the trade. Heather's constant nagging drove him to the MGD and brats I guess...
  13. Maybe it's just a funky camera angle, or he's just oddly positioned, but it looks like Carlos has packed on a few this winter...
  14. QUOTE(Mr. Showtime @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 03:10 PM) That's a shot from the team photo day. Got it off getty images. ah, gotcha
  15. Is that Sox uni photoshopped onto AJ, or have you found a picture(s), that I haven't seen?
  16. Jesus christ there is really a song where the guy just lists area codes? Are you kidding me? No wonder most of this crap is unlistenable.... Anyways right now I'm in an area code not listed in the poll 818, but when I lived out there it was 708.

    Oscar Thread...

QUOTE(Spiff @ Feb 27, 2005 -> 08:04 PM) I hate Sean Penn so much. Way to take everything seriously, dips***. I know. I'm sure Jude Law had a good laugh about it. When he hosted SNL a few months back he even joked about it himself saying "Alot of you may know me from my filmwork. Perhaps from the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 films I have coming out right now." He should call up Sean Penn and tell him to shut the f*** up.
  18. That would be cool for Julian McMahon, I love him on Nip/Tuck. I would just hope he would do it on the off-time from the show so he wouldn't miss any of the show.

    For WWE Fans

QUOTE(SAVVY18 @ Feb 25, 2005 -> 11:21 AM) I meant new in the WWE! Nothing is ever "New" anymore. It's all been done. Actually I think the Undertaker chokeslammed a few people "to hell"(as JR would say) not long after ECW did that. One of the many ideas that the WWF used after ECW had already done it.

    For WWE Fans

QUOTE(SAVVY18 @ Feb 25, 2005 -> 08:22 AM) And he actually did do something new. He chokeslammed JBL thru the floor of the ring and onto the floor. Which unfortunately gave JBL the win, since the objective of a WWE cage match is to be the first one to the floor. That's hardly new. I remember when ECW did that in a Taz vs. Bam Bam Bigelow match back in '98 I believe.
  22. Those don't look like just ST hats they look like hats that could be worn in the regular season. The ST ones have that mesh look on the hat portion and usually a "sandwich" style bill with 2 different colors.
  23. I saw the pic. Thought of all the "caption this pic" threads, and for obvious(or maybe not to obvious) reasons, I decided to say not to caption it. There are so may terrible places one could go with a caption on it, by the people involved and the position of the people and facial expressions, but I certainly won't be the first. Cincinnati Reds owner Marge Schott talks with outfielder Eric Davis Sunday, Feb. 25, 1996, during practice in Plant City, Fla. Pitcher Jose Rijo and outfielder Eric Davis, the driving forces behind the Cincinnati Reds' 1990 World Series sweep of Oakland, were voted into the team's Hall of Fame on Wednesday.
