I just noticed your Location that's f***ing great. All those letters I wrote to Arte Moreno about how I don't like Orange County really paid off. Dammit I just realized I spelled "Official" wrong in the title. Could someone be so kind as to change that?

I used to watch wrestling in the md to late nineties, but I kind of lost interest after ECW went under. But I have caught TNA on FSN a couple times, most of the guys are a bunch of has beens and a few never was' (that's a hard one to spell) But the one cool thing I saw was that Petey Williams guy's finisher the Canadian Destroyer or whatever. That is one hell of a move. It is probably the only wrestling finisher I've ever seen that made me think Wow that would really hurt somebody to the point where they could be pinned.

QUOTE(3E8 @ Jan 16, 2005 -> 07:11 PM) Well, to each his own, I guess. Do you have torrents for the second season of Arrested Development by any chance? Nope. I have no knowledge of torrents whatsoever. and on a side note Mike Patton is a man with some serious vocal range.

QUOTE(3E8 @ Jan 16, 2005 -> 05:21 PM) He just has incredible range. He isn't that high for most songs. Incredibly whiney range yes.

What's gonna happen with Crazy Carl once Frank comes back I wonder?

Of all the s***ty bands getting heavy radio play on rock stations nowadays I actually liked The Killers the best. They're not great but I liked the songs they've released as singles. But damn did they suck on SNL. The singer was flat and sang everything a few octaves below what the recorded stuff sounds like. Plus they had the basic "look" that all the bands look like now. A combo of the White curly fro/ being very pale and skinny/ dirty matted long hair, and wearing matching suits. Plus they had zero stage presence, The singer just giving a catatonic "Will Ferrell doing James Lipton" stare.

QUOTE(3E8 @ Jan 16, 2005 -> 01:30 PM) Coheed & Cambria - For the longest time I though there lead singer was a girl, until I saw them on TV. I guess the singer just has his balls in a vice grip thats hidden very well on stage. As far as albums the only ones I know for sure are coming out: Strapping Young Lad "Alien" Queens of the Stone Age "Lullibies to Paralyze"

Guillen shapes new-look White Sox in his image
Cali replied to greasywheels121's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The whole issue of losing the power in Maggs and Lee is such a moot point with the way the ballpark is built. If the Sox had a guy that averaged 2 or 3 homeruns a year he would hit 10-15 being at the cell, no doubt. The power will be there no matter who is in the line-up. -
I'd LOVE to have Tony G back. He was clutch in his last season with the Sox in '03

QUOTE(winodj @ Jan 15, 2005 -> 09:59 PM) Saw them in concert. Was real entertaining, then I found out it was just the album basically word for word. I was a little disappointed. Thats not really the case on the live concert on the D-VD. Except for the songs, which should always be word for word no matter whos performing , it wasn't exactly word for word. The between song banter is differnent like Kyles Power Heavy Metal Solo, the Sax-a-boom, etc. The comedy bits on the album should be word for word though, that's what makes them funny. Though I'm sure most of the time they'd would change a few things. They know how to improvise

Hmm there was a "Sox Sign Iguchi" thread on the page that dissapeared quite fast. I assume it was because of faulty info.

Don't know much about the book, but apparently they've been trying to make a movie of it for twenty some odd years, with stars like Jim Carrey, Dan Aykroyd, and Bill Murray considered for roles in the movie and directors like Jay Roach and SPike Jonze. Sounds kind of interesting though.

Who couldn't be a fan of the greatest band on earth? They were doing this thing called the Big Ass Auction out here on my local radio staion for Tsunami relief, they had some awesome stuff you could bid on and one of them was have Tenacious D sing a song about you. They did like 5 or 6 of them on the morning radio show out here earlier in the week. Funny s***. Can't wait for the D movie.

QUOTE(mreye @ Jan 14, 2005 -> 12:31 PM) NO, not artsy. Looking more for like a comedy or drama. technically Garden State is both of those things, and I don't really consider it very artsy.

The thing I hate is that Opening Day game then immediatly a day off. It's been like that the last few years and I hate it. There's so much anticipation for that first game then BAM! Off day.

QUOTE(mreye @ Jan 13, 2005 -> 09:13 AM) I brush my teeth in the shower. That's so wierd, because I've seen in a lot of toothpaste commercials they show people brushing there teeth in a shower, and I'm like "who brushes their teeth in the shower?" Theres my answer right there.

This has nothing to do with the topic but it made me think Who is the Sox player rep right now? The last time I remember hearing anything from a rep it was Kelly Wunsch.
