  1. I couldn't even take a wild stab at what my season record is. Anyways... Saturday Games: Pittsburgh at NY Giants Washington at San Francisco Carolina at Atlanta Sunday Games: Houston at Chicago Buffalo at Cincinnati Minnesota atDetroit San Diego at Cleveland Seattle at NY Jets Dallas at Philadelphia Denver at Kansas City St. Louis at Arizona New Orleans at Tampa Bay Jacksonville at Green Bay Tennessee at Oakland Baltimore at Indianapolis New England at Miami
  2. I just noticed in looking at the Sox home page and the Yahoo! MLB Gallery that neither Dye, Hermanson, Podsednik or Vizcaino had been introduced, and put on their new uni's and hats. I see galleries for freakin Royce Clayton and John Halama, you'd think the Sox would have done it already.
  3. If I'm not in on the ground level of reading a huge thread, say like 1-4 pages, and I see it in the 20's I don't even try to read it. I'll ocasionally take a look at a few pages but if it's 40 pages by the time I see it first, I'm out.
  4. In no order: the Dillinger Escape Plan - "Miss Machine" Green Day - "American Idiot" Converge - "You Fail Me" Misery Signals - "Of Malice and the Magnum Heart" Mastodon - "Leviathan" Lamb of God - "Ashes of the Wake" Killswitch Engage - "The End of Heartache"
  5. Click Here A whole lotta stuff I agree with this year. Especially all the noms for Sideways. I glad that movie is getting the praise it deserves, it was just really good. I'm also glad Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet got noms for Eternal Sunshine, as well as that movie for Best Comedy Motion Picture. It came out such a long time ago, I thought people who have forgotten about it, plus it made such little money, especially for a Jim Carrey movie. Hopefully this will make people remember how good the movie was come Oscar season. In the TV section, whole bunch of good nominees. Finally "Scrubs" gets recognized! Zach Braff got a nomination for Best Actor in a comedy. But he's going up against both Larry David and Jason Bateman. Tough, Tough category. Denis Leary got a well deserved nomination for Best Actor Drama for "Rescue Me". Though it does suck that neither Scrubs or Rescue Me got nominated for Best Comedy or Drama. Christi Lahti also got a well deserved nomination for her role on Jack & Bobby. She is just really good on that show.
  6. What a s***ty set. Not one damn song off of S.C.I.E.N.C.E? By far their best album? I know it's a short set but come on. I guess they sacraficed "New Skin" and "A Certain Shade of Green" for the stupid Police covers. Whatever....
  7. Click Here for Streaming Video EDIT: Times Up You missed it. You had your chance. Also, Green Day will be performing at 10:45-ish (west coast time) if you're interested.

    The Life Aquatic

Fan-f***ing-Tastic. Bill Murray and Owen Wilson are great together, especially with a solid script like this one. Great ancillary characters in this one as well, specifically Willem Dafoe. Visually it's great, definately a step up for Wes Anderson. Really cool stuff going on, without ruining anything, the shots in the interior of the boat and all of the things underwater were especially good. Screw Christmas dinner with your family, go out and see this instead on Christmas Day. And you can quote me on that.
  10. Chicago New England Buffalo Indianapolis New Orleans Baltimore Atlanta Seattle Denver Pittsburgh Green Bay Arizona Carolina San Diego Philadelphia Kansas City
  11. Here is my prediction for day one: Nothing, not a damn thing will happen with any team at all. There will be talking, jockying for position, disscussions, but no action. No matter how insignificant a FA signing or blockbuster trade. Nothing will happen. (I reserve the right to be wrong in every way shape and form about said prediction, with absolutley no repercussions whatsoever.)
  12. It's Barry Pepper . He was the sharpshooter in Saving Private Ryan. I think he looks a lot like Earhardt, and looked exactly like Roger Maris.
  13. This actually made me laugh out loud, which I don't do often at ESPN articles, unless thery're on Page 2.
  14. I agree, we do need another contest. Make it so. And yes she is smoking hot. Here's my nomination for the new hot chicks contest who definately wasn't in it last time:

Converge - "You Fail Me" Took me a while to get into this one, but now I just can't stop spinning it. Really good, really aggressive. 7.9/10 Song recommendations for those interested: "Last Light" "Drop Out" "Heartless" "You Fail Me" The Dillinger Escape Plan - "Miss Machine" Slowly (or not so slowly) running away with my album of the year for 2004. They're back with a new, and in my opinion superior, singer, and influences ranging from Mike Patton to Nine Inch Nails, added to the regular insanity of their music. 10/10 Song recommendations for those interested: All of them, but more specifically "Panasonic Youth" "Phone Home" "Setting Fire to Sleeping Giants" "Baby's First Coffin" "Unretrofied" Mastodon - "Leviathan" Also took me a while to get into this, but am really diggin it. Atlanta's own have been described as "Stoner Metal" whatever the hell that is, but I love it Currenlty fighting for the second spot in the albums of the year. It also has the coolest album art this year. 8/10 Song recommendations for those interested: "Blood and Thunder" "I am Ahab" "Seabeast" "Iron Tusk" "Megalodon"
  17. To quote Artie from Howard Stern... WAHH!! WAHH!! JR's cheap!! WAHH!! WAHH!! No "quality signings" WAHH!! WAHH!! Nothing will ever be good enough for me WAHH!! WAHH!! I follow a baseball team on my own free will, and like to complain about every aspect of it, even though no one is holding a gun to my head to follow them WAHH!! WAHH!! :sleep :sleep :sleep :sleep BOR-ing
  18. That's not the only thing he's said that's been lame in this monster of a thread....

    Sideways

This thread proves why I love living in LA sometimes. I started the thread in late October and in early December someone responds that they saw it. Gotta love the phrase "Opening in New York and L.A. earlier date, and a later date everywhere else" A perfect example is going to be Life Aquatic it comes out on the 10th here and in New York but Christmas eveywhere else.
