  1. That was Pretty interesting That film also showed why I never see Foriegn Flms with subtitles, they go by too fast sometimes I was hoping there would be some kind of narration
  2. Since most of the thread is in agreement that he should be called up, he won't be. Seems like all the talk of call-ups is only people who have been on the team previously and sucked it up i.e. Munoz, Stewart, Dransfeldt(he was okay). Nobody new, that's just f***ed up in my opinion. The only "new" person I heard as a possibility is Valdez.
  3. Are we doing this again this year? Haven't seen anything about it. Spiff? Show? Bueller?
  4. The more I think about it, the more I want the 2005 White Sox to look almost completely different from the one on the field right now. If the only people from the O left after this season are Rowand and Thomas, it wouldn't bother me.
  5. I wonder what kind of young pitcher the Sox could get for Lee? I would love to pull off some kind of Lee, Garland, Prospect for Ben Sheets and Scott Podsednik. It's a dream I know, but damn I would love that deal. As far as Konerko goes, and I've talked about wanting this deal before, but Konerko for J.T. Snow, don't know what else the Sox could package with Konerko to get Snow and a pitcher, but would SF be willing to part with Williams or Foppert? I know Foppert had TJ sugery last Sept, but I read he'll be called up in September to pitch out of the pen. I don't know what the deal with Williams is. As far as I'm concerned the Sox can get rid of Lee and Konerko if they want to go for this whole "Southside Pitchmen, Southside Glovemen" thing from the article a few weeks back.
  6. It would really suck to be a Rockies fan, you'll never have a pitching staff that's good as long as you play 81 games at Coors Field. You really have to hope that one year you'll get a couple guys to have freak career years together, and try to get into the playoffs. Either way it must suck to be a Rockie fan.

    8/28 Games

If Kelly Wunsch has done something to piss off KW or JR just f***ing release him then, I'm sick of him succeding down in Charlotte and not being up in Chicago.
  8. Maybe you can try and bang Cleopatra while you're there
  9. Sixth Level of Hell - The City of Dis -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You approach Satan's wretched city where you behold a wide plain surrounded by iron walls. Before you are fields full of distress and torment terrible. Burning tombs are littered about the landscape. Inside these flaming sepulchers suffer the heretics, failing to believe in God and the afterlife, who make themselves audible by doleful sighs. You will join the wicked that lie here, and will be offered no respite. The three infernal Furies stained with blood, with limbs of women and hair of serpents, dwell in this circle of Hell. It's a party on the 6th level of Hell in this thread...
  10. I was never a fan of Grilli since he was signed, and I'm pretty sure tomorrow's start is not going to make me like him anymore....
  11. I don't care who I just want Tammy gone. She has not made me laugh once during the course of the show.
  12. I remember cringing during his start in the 2000 playoffs against the Braves, I think, when he was uncorking what seemed like wild pitch after wild pitch. It would totally be a Hollywood type ending if he came back to the bigs and tossed a perfect game or something like that.

    BJ Upton

They're putting no pressure on him tonight, he's batting 9th and DH'ing. That kind of sucks I wanted to see what he can do in the field.
  14. The Knights website already has "Tetsu Nofu" wallpaper ready to download. I gotta think that Yofu would get a call up in september, doesn't he have something rediculous like 7 pitches? And hasn't he been tossed back and forth between the rotation and the pen? That would be a nice thing to have on a pitching staff.

    Future

I agree if Contreras performs well in the second half, then Buehrle, Garcia, and Contreras are already locked in the top 3 spots of the rotation. Then possibly during the off-season a trade for another starter or a FA signing.
  16. Chris Young has officially got himself a 20/20 season. Why not go for a 25/25 season?
  17. I think it's pretty obvious what will be number one of the Top Ten Performences of the Week
  18. I wonder if the design would be the same as the one from when the Mets and Yankees were gonna get new stadiums: http://www.ballparksofbaseball.com/future/...eeStadiumII.htm
  19. Just got a e-mail today, but I didn't read it right away, way too many, you know, words. Maybe I'll read it later.
  20. The injuries are just racking up in Chicago in 2004... Urlacher Thomas Ordonez Prior Wood Shamme
  21. I dont have the numbers and this could have also been Alomar or Davis instead, but it seems like Jaime has throw out a lot of runners... Keep it up JB

  23. 3.5 games back, truly insurmountable
  24. If only the Sox could find a way to somehow go on the "Podsednik Adventure", but the Brew Crew are probably gonna hold onto him for a while
