Well the White Sox, Astros, and Cubs all missed the playoffs so really comparisons being made start there... Maybe the Sox losing 100 turns into nothing, or maybe they turn into the Nats. It's a crap shoot to be sure, but if you're missing October, you're missing October.

If the Sox aren't going to make the playoffs (which they rarely do) I'd almost prefer they lose 100 for a few seasons, maybe luck into a Strasburg or Harper, than winning 83 or 85 and finishing in 2nd or 3rd every freakin' year like they mostly have been for the better part of the last decade plus...

Weren't Hamilton and Greinke the dominos that were supposed to fall in order for the Sox to find a taker for Floyd/Thornton/DeAza/Viciedo etc?

Lots of mediocre pitchers getting boatloads of Cash. Hahn needs to take advantage of teams that are missing out on these guys by trading Floyd for some quality.

It was time to move on. Use that money elsewhere.... Now we can hate him again haha

Unless a trade happens today, I doubt anything is gonna happen until after the new year, so it'll be a few more weeks of no news for our Sox....

M's surely felt the need to get rid of Vargas with the fences moving in... Sure that will benefit Morales too.

Really getting the feeling that this is the team heading into Arizona... Which is not very exciting.

Illitch is just going spend crazy because he wants a title before he dies. When he does (whether they win one or not) it'll be interesting to see what they do with all the long term contracts. Do they go full on fire sale?

Can someone look up how much money LA has spent in the last two years? From Re-siging Kemp and signing Pujols to now the Greinke & Hamilton deals. Has to be almost a billion by now...

Combine Pujols last year, whatever they pay Hamilton and everything the Dodgers have done since re-signing Kemp until Greinke and both LA teams are going INSANE.

Glad to see Choo out of the division. Not so happy to see Bauer in it. Can picture him dominating the Sox in the near future.
