  1. Valverde: Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Bet he wasn't dancing after that. Piece of s***. Saw the highlight of Dunn's ball. I don't think it's even landed yet. Christ was that CRUSHED...
  2. And that'll about end my interest in the 2012 Sox. The sweep by Detroit this weekend will also help. Hope Jake, AJ, Floyd, Thornton play well and get a haul in July. s*** maybe get like a Texeria deal Paulie with a year on his contract. Haha sorry made myself laugh with that, like Kenny could ever get the kind of haul Texas got...
  3. Thank God they've gotten away from Home... So weird to say that.... Time for Jake to be that stopper.
  4. Hey Johnny... look at your most recent pay stub and, ya know, pitch like you deserve it.... I think it's safe to say if John is not cracking 90 on his fastball tonight he's gonna get lit up. I think it would also be safe to say he should get an MRI if he's not cracking 90. It would be one hell of a "dead arm" period for this to still be the issue. Maybe the White Sox can pull a Boston and put John on the DL for "Shoulder Discomfort" but really for "Sucking" like they'd do with Matsusaka....
  5. So basically count on at least one loss in the doubleheader.
  6. How were Gordo's hits? Still doing the one handed machete swing and just lucking out or actual solid contact with a nice level swing?
  7. It's so odd that playing the Royals is gonna be huge test for the Sox this season cause the Royals are terrible. There is no reason they should give the team the same fits it had the last few seasons. None. Ironically, the second Minnesota became irrelevant in the division they Sox showed they could beat them, lets hope that continues. They should beat up both KC and Minny this season easily. So far so good vs. the Central. Gotta keep it up.
  8. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 1, 2012 -> 08:11 AM) No, that would be the Twins. The Rays will replace him with some piece of crap who puts up piece of crap numbers and yet they will still inexplicably win. Maybe 5 years ago....
  9. They are disappointing and yes my standards are high dammit! Haha But they're gonna go 10-11 or 9-12 more than likely. As negative as I seem there's a part of me that is always hopeful. Which makes the disappointments hurt 100x more. That's my fault really haha
  10. I said it in another thread but 21 of 29 against the central starting Tuesday. So far they've shown themselves to be useful this season against the division. But if they can't do anything this month and inferior competition like Kansas City and Minnesota starts giving them fits then it's all over. That is a hole they will not be able to dig out of and itll be a long boring summer. 16, 17 of 21 is a must

    Predict April

A pretty average month that could have been better. When the Sox hit that 10th win things were looking up, then they crashed right back down. I think the combination of Detroit not looking like world beaters early on, KC not doing a damn thing and Cleveland not rushing away with an early lead like 2011 makes it look like the Central won't be nearly as good as a whole. May will be a huge key to whether I give a s*** about this team come summer. 21 of 29 against the Central... This is the season pretty much starting Tuesday...
  12. A pitcher who struggled earlier stepping up big time? John Danks doesn't know what that is...
  13. A: A maddeningly inconsistant team that will tug on your heart strings by playing good for stretches against teams in contention and dominating weaker opponents followed by s***ting the bed against both inferior competition and not getting it up for great teams at the same time. They won't lose 90+ like i thought, but another .500 season looks in the books. Sigh...
  14. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 07:43 PM) He sucked. No excuses. Fan-f***ing-tastic. Should have traded him in the off-season. That move will come back to bite Kenny in a few years. Should have eased up on his demands. What a joke he's been this season...
  15. f***ing well done Danks.... What a #1... Christ... (I havent seen any of the game, so I don't know if he's had defense laps or s***ty umping haha)
  16. Humber should get a standing ovation as he heads back from the pen.
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 26, 2012 -> 05:51 AM) And sometimes making rash, early season decisions screw with a team early in the season, screw with the psyche of the players, and sabotage a season. Yes of course. It's a toss up, but the last few years, the stubborn lack of change wrecked the team. Perhaps trying a new manager with a philosophy of "change what doesnt work" could help. That's what I want to see with the 2012 Sox. If Robin is the so called "Anti-Ozzie"...
  18. This freakin' organization and it's unwillingness to change early in the season. Doesn't matter what manager it is now apparently. Sometimes early season changes HELP a team and a season in the long run. Change before it gets too late!
  19. f*** this team. Getting my hopes up there for a second. I do not know why... 2 of 3 to f***ing Oakland.
  20. Lose 2 of 3 to Oakland after a Perfect Game and sweep? Ugh... With this offense the team is gonna send us through peaks and valley's like a motherf***er....
  21. Now, I obviously haven't seen ALL of Gordon's very few hits this season, but in recent memory I can't seem to recall any of them hit with authority. Just his usual horrible-slash-swing and the ball just finding the bat somehow and blooping into shallow outfields. So frustrating to see that from the confident stroke of '09 Beckham (who's never coming back)
  22. Same s*** different Manager/Hitting Coach... I'm glad I'll be falling asleep soon haha
  23. Gavin doesn't seem like he's got that feel for the curve as of yet. Luckily the A's aren't doing anything so far...
