  1. Just that little 30 second clip, Hawkins looks impressive. Seems like a beast already size wise.... I like it
  2. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 4, 2012 -> 02:19 PM) Yeah I realize that. However, I think we should be open to rethinking our draft philosophy. This guy is a Verlander-ish talent and is 17 years old, might not be the worst player to take the plunge with. Certainly would make sense to not draft him as well, though --- I'll be pissed if it's for one of these low ceiling college guys or a high strikeout, raw athlete position player. I 100% believe this will be one of the descriptions we'll hear in a few hours about of the 13th pick...
  3. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 4, 2012 -> 01:06 PM) Vicedo switched to agent Scott Boras...............We shall see! KW seems to have lightened up on that whole thing after the 2010 Damon negotiations. Unless it's gone sour from then....
  4. What are Reed's splits between Save Situations and Non-Save situations? Are they drastic or similar?
  5. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jun 4, 2012 -> 11:22 AM) FWIW, I think he's wrong about that this time. The Hawk disagrees based on his thoughts yesterday haha
  6. If he's still somehow there at 48 you absolutely take him if you think you can afford him.
  7. Based on the last few years I see it going like this: A Name No One has Ever even heard of before today, followed by Nuclear Meltdown. #draftexpert
  8. My grades are all in gold stars and "you did a grape job!" stickers that smell like grapes when you scratch them...

Maybe Danks can be included in a package for Youk. I mean can you imagine that wonderful thick Boston Accent saying his name? "Jaaaahdan Dahhnks"
  10. As if it was possible for Valverde to become a bigger piece of s*** in my eyes, he goes and bleaches his hair and goatee.
  11. Able to win with the Sunday Lineup... Color me impressed. Sale.... just ridiculous. must stay positive... can't think about the innings piling up and the fact that the Sox best pitcher won't be starting in September more than likely
  12. If you'll allow me to fall into negative mode (aka normal mode): Have your 9 game streak snapped by an inferior team and scored 8 runs and STILL lost. Put out a Sunday line up that will possibly (probably) lose you 2 of 3 against an inferior team. Followed by an off day? They better destroy Toronto on Tuesday or I start fretting again haha.
  13. Ouch. I get it, but still ouch. I don't want losing 2 of 3 to friggin Seattle after winning 9 in a row to send this team into a funk.
  14. So I wouldn't be surprised if there's a Sunday lineup tomorrow strictly because everyone has been playing a lot during this good stretch, but at the same time I think losing 2 of 3 to the M's would hurt morale in the clubhouse. That and the fact that the bench is pretty awful all around.
  15. They're in it now. They can not fall apart and go back on the .500 train... Cheers!
  16. Bad Bullpen pitching brought on by Gavin Floyd sucking big time... Too many 3 ball counts and seemingly falling behind every batter. When your offense scores 8 runs you should win the damn game. Sale needs to be Stellar tomorrow.
  17. And Ironically, Seattle home games are never rained out....
  18. So the Sox may miss Kemp then? That's a relief...
  19. Get it all out of your system now Seattle...
  20. The Sox sweep was the start of the Indians slide and Hafner's injury just confirms the inevitable...
  21. Knocking on all kinds of wood here, but June isn't a bad month looking forward. Dodgers and Yankees on paper are the toughest series'. Toronto, no matter what always seems to play the Sox tough home or away. But Seattle, Cubs, Houston, Milwaukee and Minnesota are on the downside, with St. Louis not as hot as they were in April couple that with Interleague Play and the Game being on the Road and Hopefully it all works out...

I trust 2012 Quintana more than 2012 Danks right about now...
  23. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 30, 2012 -> 01:42 PM) We get Felix first thing. Get Brian Anderson out of retirement and back onto the Sox for a one day contract.
  24. No Off-Day momentum killer please! 2 of 3 from Seattle will be just fine and dandy....
  25. 17 wins on the road. Most in baseball...
